What is Upselly?

Upselly is an app that will add a recommended products widget to your product page allowing your customers to add highly related products to their order with just one click.

We use the same data mining algorithm that e-commerce giant Amazon use to calculate recommended products - Frequently Bought Together.

How does it work?

Upselly scans previous purchases in your store through data mining algorithms and produces a graph of products that are usually bought together.

How are the recommendations displayed?

When a customer visits a product page, a widget comprised of the recommended products usually bought together is displayed. Widget can be set to show above or below Add To Cart form on a product page.

In the Upselly widget customers are able to select multiple recommended products with a single click.

If the recommended product uses variants, the customer can also select the desired variant; pictures and prices are refreshed automatically. In addition customer can also select quantity for each recommended product.

Once customer adds the current product to cart, current product and all selected recommended products are added to the cart.

Configuration options

You can change the following options at any time:

• Limit the maximum number of recommended products
• Select the position of the recommendation widget in the product pages
• Upselly will even automatically match the color of selected recommended product to your theme's call to action color. You can also fine-tune look and feel of the widget
• Show random products when there are not enough data for automatic recommendations
• Show quantity selector
• Display price and discounted price
• Manual recommendations: although we recommend automatic recommendations because they lead to higher conversion, you can also fine-tune manually the recommendations for each product
