FreshBooks + Shopify = A Perfect Match

Simply, connect your Shopify store and FreshBooks account to pull your existing order history into FreshBooks. Upon syncing, you have three options to customize how your order history will be migrated into FreshBooks.

OPTION ONE

Sync all Shopify orders to one new client in FreshBooks: “COMPANY-NAME”.

Automatically create a client in FreshBooks named “COMPANY-NAME” and save all orders to that client profile.

OPTION TWO

Sync all Shopify orders to an existing FreshBooks client

Consolidate all Shopify customers and orders under an existing client in your FreshBooks.

Select that client

Create a new FreshBooks client for each Shopify customer

When importing orders into FreshBooks create a new client for each Shopify customer with an order.

NOTE: Choosing this option may create more clients than your current FreshBooks plan offers. As a result, you may need to upgrade your FreshBooks subscription.

INTEGRATION DETAILS

The integration will manage Shopify orders based on three objects, Items, Invoices and Payments in FreshBooks.

When a Shopify order is sent to FreshBooks, the integration will associate an order with a FreshBooks client (based on which of the 3 above options you select). An invoice will be created along with the items sold from the Shopify order. The invoice will then have the payment applied to the invoice.

The Shopify inventory will be considered the source-of-truth for all inventory management since it is the place where the inventory levels are managed and changed. FreshBooks then receives that information and updates it as required.

You can manually or automatically sync this data based on the preferences you define as you setup your accounts.

So disappointed in this app. It says it's syncing and it just hangs there. If and when it actually syncs up the data from Shopify, it jumbles it all into the same date as the sync. Looks like I have to manually enter EVERYTHING from 2021. Don't waste your time with this app. For shame Freshbooks!!!!!

I've had the app installed since July and it still won't sync my transactions to my freshbooks account. have been in contact with support and they can't seem to fix it. so incredibly frustrated. Freshbooks please fix this app!!

The app does not work. Syncs back only a few days even when set to back sync more. Freshbooks is pretty useless as a program unless you have a business that invoices clients. If you have an e-commerce business, or work with a bank that is not Bank of America, it's useless. They are willing to help when you call them, they just don't have answers to any of the problems. Worse than useless because I've wasted days trying to get things ready for tax day and it just dug the hole deeper.
