This app is like seeing again after being blind with the native Google Channel.

Tracks about twice as many visits with a higher resolution in Analytics and reports revenue accurately. So far we are very impressed.

This is the first time I give a review to a shopify app. But what a life-saver this is!

All the other solutions only tracked 50% of the transactions, and through this app, we see all of them! Plus it is also easy to install.

Can't believe this is free... But please don't change your mind @fueled :-)

I must say this app is very good. I was struggling with GA4 conversions but all sorted now, thanks to the app.

I have given four stars only because it doesn't consider returns and orders that are cancelled in GA4 conversions but I hope in future updates this issue might be sorted.

Thanks for the review and feedback. Just as an FYI, Google Analytics doesn't support the tracking of product returns out of the box. Nor does it have the ability to remove a purchase event, once it's been received by Google Analytics.

Consequently, we can't implement the two features you've suggested. There are other attribution analytics platforms, like Mixpanel and Amplitude, that do allow you to track returns and cancelled orders, and we do have integrations with them.

But for this app, unfortunately, we can't support this functionality with Google Analytics. Just a limitation on Google's end.

It's disheartening to hear about the app developer's refusal to enable enhanced conversion tracking without additional charges, especially given the circumstances. On one hand, he mentions not being paid in over 18 months, yet on the other, he serves several hundred customers, some of whom pay substantial amounts, up to $10,000. It's confusing, isn't it? Are they struggling financially or thriving?

It almost seems like price gouging for Shopify merchants to compensate for losses from the BigCommerce side. In situations like these, it would be much appreciated if the developer could meet halfway, perhaps at $17 a month, which seems like a reasonable compromise for both parties involved. Let's hope for a fair resolution that benefits everyone.

I am a bit worried about the rights this app might have regarding data protection/sharing.

If I understand this correctly, this app can use all store data, that flows through this API Google Analytics GA4 stream for their business and also give/sell it to 3rd parties.

This would mean, by using this app customers agree that Fueled can use customers shop data and customers, customer data for their own purpose.

If so, this would be a huge deal. This could then affect customers very negatively, if this data goes into wrong hands. And even create competitors.

Please correct me if I understood something wrong.

Thank you for reaching out. But that isn't the case. We are an attribution app that simply passes the data to Google Analytics 4. We integrate with Shopify's Privacy API so that merchants who leverage a cookie consent app can respect a shopper's decision to opt out. We certainly don't monetize any of this data in any way. That would be both unethical and a violation of Shopify's terms of use. We just help merchants send these attribution events to Google.

(Moreover, Google Analytic's Measurement API and GTag won't accept personally identifiable information.)

Privacy is absolutely critical. I'm happy to say that your concern isn't an issue for the merchants who leverage our app.
