Consent is challenging, and I will warn you that installing the app doesn't protect you and having a 100% on the app isn't where it stops. Definitely click to complete the compliance review. But Georgi from Consentmo has been incredibly patient, helping me set up and test all the tags and scripts to ensure they don't fire where they shouldn't. Grateful for his hours of help and support!
Service has been great. Had an issue and needed to make updates, and Georgim got me all handled. Answered my questions, there were many as I'm not super technical, and provided screenshots for guidance when needed. Was patient and waited for me to finish tasks, then was there for the next one when I was ready. Highly recommend this compliance app for its customizations and the team behind it. They went above and beyond expectations for me today.

We had been using Consentmo GDPR Compliance for more than a year without any major issues. However, after updating our Shopify theme, the app completely disrupted our Google tracking setup.
Since then, our Google Tag Manager, Google Consent Mode, Google Ads conversion tracking, and analytics have all been in disarray. We have spent days trying to identify the problem, following the documentation, reinstalling integrations, and checking every possible setting, but our tracking is still not working correctly.
What is particularly frustrating is that a theme update should not leave customers in a situation where they have to spend countless hours trying to restore a working tracking setup. The support documentation has not helped us resolve the issue, and the troubleshooting process has been extremely time-consuming.
Unfortunately, our experience has been very disappointing. An app that is responsible for GDPR compliance and consent management should make tracking more reliable, not leave customers wondering whether any of their analytics or advertising data can still be trusted.

I’m truly sorry to see that your overall experience with the app was as described in your review. After more than a year of smooth use, I completely understand how frustrating it must be to suddenly run into tracking issues, especially with something as critical as your analytics and advertising data!
I’d like to add some context on what likely happened. When a new theme is published, Shopify usually deactivates app embeds and doesn’t carry app settings over - this affects all apps, not just Consentmo. Shopify’s Help Center states it directly: “if you... later change your published theme, then you’ll need to re-activate those apps in your new theme as they won’t be active by default.” (reference: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/themes/customizing-themes/apps )
On top of that, themes differ technically (older Liquid-based vs. newer JSON/Online Store 2.0 themes), so a tracking setup that worked perfectly on one theme often needs to be re-enabled and re-tested on the new one.
That said, unfortunately Shopify doesn't allow us to reapply the existing settings and the merchant has to follow this (ref the guide above). Still I understand we could have responded faster and more attentively, and this is something I've addressed with the support team member as well. As we discussed yesterday, I believe that we’ve already fixed this for you. For any future instances, our team would be glad to go through your GTM and Consent Mode setup with you end to end and get everything verified.

Consentmo has been fantastic for managing the complexity of privacy banners and requests. The setup is intuitive and continually supported with updates. I don't know how we would have kept up without this system. Also thank you to John for helping us through a number of setup issues!

Simple app, easy to work with, and their team is AMAZING. Compliance is tough and an evolving space, and while the default setup has some limitations, their support team were always on hand to help us make modifications to match our legal team's stringent recommendations.
Joseph from their customer support team in particular has been a rockstar and gone above and beyond what can reasonably be expected from a chat agent to make the changes we needed. We also were able to work directly with their lead developer and founder to make the unique modifications we needed. Highly recommend!
Absolutely incredible service! I recently upgraded to the Enterprise plan, and the support has been outstanding. A special thanks to Georgi Georgiev, who was extremely polite, patient, and professional throughout the whole process. The technical team logged into my store and completely cleaned up all the messy codes and Google Tag Manager errors left by a previous freelancer. They configured my Meta/Facebook Pixel and Conversions API perfectly without me needing to touch a single line of code. Now that everything is properly configured on my store, I fully expect Meta to process the new data and completely clear all the warnings within the next 1-2 days. My Shopify store is now 100% compliant and working flawlessly. If you want peace of mind, this app and their team are worth every single penny. Highly recommended!
Oltre ad aver risolto le beghe con il consent mode v2 di google, oggi, dall'alto della mia arroganza ho contattato l'assistenza perché non riuscivo a modificare la posizione del widget in mobile. O meglio, pensavo di aver capito come fare ma la UI/UX dell'app mi ha un po' confuso.
Mi ha risposto Georgi a cui ho spiegato il mio problema e che, prontamente, mi ha inviato i video di come fare, e a continuato a inviarmelo anche se, in maniera irriverente, gli dicevo che avevo già fatto quello che mi diceva di fare.
Ma non era vero, non stavo guardando dove effettivamente avrei dovuto guardare. Poi ho capito e ho risolto il problema. Bravo Georgi che non ha mollato. Buona app, facile e pratica.
