I've been using this app to sell art prints and have been really enjoying it. The decentralized production model is something that I really love both from a cost/time savings standpoint but also it is so much better for the environment. The paper prints have always been fantastic, but I have had quite a few hiccups with metal prints along the way (my first order was a metal print and they sent me someone else's piece, the replacement had holes cut in it for acrylic prints. And a third order more recently had no mounts included). Each one was fully refunded and replaced very quickly, and my customers have so far had no problems like this whatsoever after a year of selling on here. TLDR: The idea behind this app is fantastic, the products are great, there may be a few hiccups but so far it has definitely been worthwhile.

In my opinion the best POD! The shipping time (in germany) is amazing! I just had some problems with some orders, but the support chat just fixed them really fast. Keep going guys, you're doing a great job :)

First sale shipped after 24h of processing, mindblowing fast ! Amazing app for product customization etc... Just some few things to improve regarding the with/without frames for posters but overall this is a wonderful app !! The support is also amazing, don't hesitate to contact them ! Highly recommend.

Super easy user interface and some of the best customer support I've ever experienced. I've had a bunch of difficulties getting the print colours right, but I think this was mostly due to oversights on my part.

A few things that would make these 5 stars shine even brighter would be:

The possibility to upload PDF ready prints for posters instead of having to use their own product designer tool (fewer steps, fewer potential mistakes). I'm currently using a workaround to achieve this.

Better mockups! I'm on Gelato Gold and must say that the mockups are more a Bronze kinda' deal, so I'm using Freepik premium mockups to achieve high quality.

The possibility to allow customers to choose shipping partners based on their preferences. Not exactly sure if you'd need a Shopify Plus account to achieve this,
but in any case it's trust building and should be possible.

A final ask.. would be more automation on the shipping and invoices part. I'd like to be kept up to date regarding delays and have invoices automagically sent to my billing system (could be as easy as forwarding to an email).

Anyway! All in all this is my first exposure to a print on demand service and I'm quite impressed with the tech, team and integration.

A decent design process, native customer-side personalisation capabilities, transparent fulfilment communication. Integration with Adobe CC, plus having an inbuilt brand suite and image library would be a bonus

After months of use Gelato's app software doesn't work and the customer service has no answers, always. Every facet of Ecommerce has failed with Gelato from start to finish, payment, print quality, inventory accuracy and logistics. Over 10 customer complaints for print quality. They refuse to do reprints forcing you to refund orders. Their frames are not synced with inventory across Europe. Unprofessional, unorganized and unreliable. Its torturous interference partnering with Gelato.

I've used this Gelato in the past and am blown away with the friendly AND fast support. I still can't understand why competitors of Gelato are so highly praised while Gelato is around. They absolutely rock it. Only things I wished they would improve on: A broader selection of products and the ability to offer personalised packaging. But besides that, amazing!
