I really like GemPages and it's features, it makes it easy to build out the site. BUT, unfortunately it greatly impacts the speed and performance of my website and it's a big issue. Every developer I hire tells me that GemPages is the biggest issue my site has. In order to provide the best experience to customers, GemPages really needs to find a way to make their builder function within Shopify better. The annual fee and having to constantly find a developers is just too much to worry about.
Great customer service however the pages can be heavy on your site and the formatting is complex and repetitive.
Good beginner app - very slow & lots of issues overall. It is extremely simple to use and has a ton of great features but the biggest downside is all the bugs in the app. Pages are constantly breaking (not showing correctly), taking a long time to load & when building pages, it often glitches if you work on it for more than an hour. You get what you pay for in the price. If you have a simple easy store, go for it, but know you will need to upgrade in the future (which sucks after the work you put into this)
I am on the paid version, so far it is user-friendly and there's always support after hours ( I think their support is based in the Philippines) The best time to reach them for support is nighttime in the USA. My biggest issue is when they are supposed to be saved, there were a few times it didn't and I had to back track and waste more time. I'm not sure when this happens but I've had to hit Save every time I made a small change while working on the page to avoid it from happening again. I would love to love this app. Will change this if support can reach out and give me an explanation.
just spent 1.5hrs with chat support to solve the issue alone. they didn't even trouble shoot the problem correctly and told me I was wrong to then tell me I was right. this was a waste of time. if you are not a coder or web developer this app is difficult if your pages face any issues. however, creating pages are simple, good templates, but if you need any back-end support you have a better shot figuring it out yourself. I've lost revenue because of this and they don't care. there is other alternatives. goodbye to a 2 year customer

The page builder is great, but the blog builder still needs work and customer service has been very slow in fixing the issues with the way my blogs are appearing on my website. Disappointing, because I really enjoyed using the app for my landing pages.
I used this app to customize my shopify pages and collections. I like the features, the ease of use and the price. Unfortunately I have found that documentation on app features is very limited and the tech support takes too long to respond and then the response is not complete and requires several back and forth communications to get the answers that I need. I pay for the pro version which says it includes quick response. Since I haven't experienced this I requested information about getting a quicker response if I upgrade to the highest plan and still have not heard back.
Janie was the only helpful person. Spoke with Chris and he gave me the wrong information which wasted my time.
There seems to be a HUGE time difference because I have been up for 2 nights talking to the support staff on the changes that needed to be made. Staff doesn't get back to you until 11pm my time.
Thankfully Janie figured out my issues and completed what I needed to have done. Without her, I would have demanded for a refund.
Not integrated with Shopify. There's always an issue that comes up, for example I just found out that from android there was a bug with the cta button which was huge. The preview doesn't work. I recommend you to use a Shopify pre built theme instead.
Updated review. I ultimately got a refund, rightfully, because I uninstalled the application days before the billing cycle and i got billed "accidentally" as I was told. Never the less support was better.

With regards to any third-party subscriptions on Shopify, the most effective way to terminate a billing cycle is to uninstall the app so Shopify can recognize the user's desire to no longer utilize the app and cancel the next billing cycle. It is essential to point out that GemPages does not have any power concerning one's billing cycle and Shopify is solely responsible for managing all billing cycles. As said, since you are still being charged even after you have uninstalled the app, we are more than willing to process the refund for the unused billing cycle.
