big disappointment. to change the language. the bar is down bottom on the footer. correct placement is on the header not footer...
Do not download. The selectors only show at footer (where nobody looks) and the recommended language popup is partially hidden on mobile so customers cant see it.

We are investigating future changes to allow the selectors to be in the header as well.
It's a good app, unfortunately the currency/country selector is hidden at the bottom on the footer, where no one is going to see it. So it ends up being next to useless. You would think that they would offer the option of having it on the header.
Hi there, there are 2 reasons we don't do this. Firstly, because Geolocation offers a pop up recommendation to buyers when they aren't in the right location or language. They should only need to use the selectors if they want to change to a country or language different than their default.
Secondly, because Geolocation doesn't add any code to your theme, it's not technically possible for us to add selectors to the header reliably. If you want to do this, you can have a Shopify expert build a country selector directly into your theme's header instead (https://shopify.dev/tutorials/customize-theme-support-multiple-currencies). Good luck!
Please fix this app Shopify. Most people just click the X in the upper right corner when presented with this, and then the location isn't set. And no one will notice the selector in the footer. It needs to be a floating dropdown that's always visible. Please make an option where the location is set automatically based on the geolocation detection, so that it works without forcing a pop-up on the user at all. Also, in the popup, The "Shop now" button people have to click to contine is obviously off-putting, it should say just "Continue" or "See prices for " or something. Everyone just clicks the X (verified by reviewing visits through hotjar)
United States is for some reason GBP and currencies dont auto convert so I do not deem this app effective.
Hi there, thanks for your review. This is because your United States Market only has GBP enabled.
If you go to Settings --> Markets --> United States, you will see that you can control the currency for your US buyers (and buyers for all other markets) through there. Once you have done so, Geolocation will recommend the right country and currency for all your buyers.

We are forced to use this app if we want to change prices for other countries, and the only way price actually shows correctly to the customer is if we add an ugly, uneditable pop-up to our store for all traffic (even if the new market is just 5% of our traffic) Please allow us to enable/disable the pop-up by country. Or just default to the correct prices if you know where the IP is located. Such a poorly developed app

Changing currency based on IP address goes against Google's guidelines and can cause SEO problems for your store, which is why we do not do this. If you want to show your customers the correct currency automatically, you can have different subfolders for each country and redirect your customers to the right subfolder automatically: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/markets/international-domains/directing-customers/domain-redirection

This app is malfunctioning. When I first downloaded it, I could see the view as how my customers would. Then after going to my site it only would show at the bottom, even though I selected for it to be at the top. Contacted Support and the rep. escalated it. She then said it was now working and that I should uninstall and re-install. I did that but the it does not even show at all. So weird and frustrating as this affects potential International Sales/
Pointless app since i can't use Shopify Payments in my country, make sure that people KNOW that you can't use Geolocation because my country is not supported by Shopify Payments
I don't know i'f I a missing a step but this app has not worked for me so for, I was able to add it to my store but it did not change the currencies
