I used this app to add multi currency support. I just observed though that itis not doing currency conversion and only switching currency signs. Is there any setting to display the currency converted value ?
Thanks for your review. For the Geolocation app to offer different currency recommendations, you first need to make those currencies available from your Shopify Payments settings. Once you have done so, the app can help your buyers switch to their preferred currency.
Works if your needs are very basic and you don't mind the very rudimentary styling, but causes problems in a country like Finland where most people have browser language as English but still would like to browse the site in Finnish. Better targeting settings based on country etc. would be incredibly helpful.
Thanks so much for your feedback! I see where you are coming from and this is a tricky balance. Ultimately browser language is the strongest signal for what a buyer prefers to shop in, but acknowledge this may not cover all cases. This is why we allow manual language selection if the customer does want to browse in another language or country.
I am in colombia. I have my ecommerce in spanish and my currency is COP. I need to give the option to the customer the language in english too an the prices in USD. What I need to do?
No support from shopify , My store slowed and flagged by google .
From the day the slowness was observed there were 2 apps installed 1 which is this geolocation app and another from different developer . I am in touch with developer for other app and they are troubleshooting their end .
However shopify has provided no support to rule out geolocation app is not also affecting our speed score so it looks like it is better to download apps from other developers in Shopify as at least they will troubleshoot their own app.
THE APP DOES NOT WORK AND MY CUSTOMERS ARE COMPLAINING WITH ANGER. I AM LOOSING MONEY. WHAT IS GOING ON?
Application doesn't work, Shopify doesn't care, I just asked them to help me because the geolocation is not working proprelty and except being nice and full of fluff, they couldn't help

The new version of the App includes a pop-up that appears to each visitor with a fix text that can not be changed, saying: "This shop sends to (your country), check alternatives to shipping (your country)" First of all we are not a shop, we are a educational institution. Second, we sell digital products (courses), so our customers do not need to "receive" nothing. It is a must for us to edit the text that appears in the popup to write what applies to our business. ¿When will you allow it? Thank you.
Hi there, thank you for this feedback. We have heard similar pieces of feedback from other merchants, and while this has been built with physical products in mind at the moment, we will be looking at how we can expand this into other products like digital/subscriptions in the future.
WHY can we NOT customize this popup? I need to customize it. Implement more features pls, otherwise 1 star only.
I have only 2 countries set up in my checkout settings, when I activated this app I had it tested in other countries other than those that I have set, yet it still has that welcome message assuring the visitor that we ship to their country, which we don't!! This confusion can lead to bad reviews!! Please fix!!
I love this app! It works perfectly, and the support is amazing. They are always quick to respond and friendly. The app is super easy to use, and provides a lot of options.
