Gift Card Pro: Gift Card Suite

The app works as advertised for the most part, but there's a serious issue every merchant should know about before installing.

In December, my store was hit with 10 fraudulent gift card orders totaling over $3,200. Shopify flagged all of them as fraudulent, I canceled every gift card, and none were ever redeemed.

Despite all of that, Gift Card Pro still charged me $85 in usage fees on those fraudulent, never-redeemed gift cards. When I reached out to support asking for a refund of the fees, they did not address the refund request at all. Instead, they told me a fraud protection setting wasn't enabled in my account and pointed me to their documentation. No refund, no credit, no acknowledgment that charging fees on confirmed fraud where the cards were never used isn't reasonable.

If you're a merchant considering this app, understand that:

- The 2.5% volume fee applies to every gift card sold, including fraudulent ones.
- Their fraud protection is opt-in and not enabled by default.
- If fraud slips through, you'll pay fees on top of your chargeback losses with no recourse.

Used this app for multiple years. Support team has been responsive to our needs (and dumb questions ). This review is way overdue but happy to say its been a positive experience.

Gift Card Pro is an outstanding app with perfect usability and an intuitive interface. Everything works seamlessly, making it incredibly easy to set up and use. The customer service and support team are truly amazing—quick, helpful, and always ready to assist. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly gift card solution!

This is an amazing program. Very easy to install and use. Another big plus is the service...absolutely fantastic. We have a big customer and needed a bit of help with a giant order and they responded quickly and sent videos showing exactly what we needed to do...multiple times. I'd give 6 stars.

Easy to use and customizable integration with my Shopify store. As an added bonus, their support staff is incredibly helpful and even helped find better ways for us to handle our rendering of our gift cards. Highly recommend this app!

We've installed Gift Card Pro on 3 Shopify stores. Every time we've needed some help, the Gist Customer Support Team (this means you, Tim ! ) have been over the top helpful and quick to solve problems. Our customers love the power of the gift card platform, and we love the added revenue we generate by offering gift cards. Highly recommend.

We have been using Gift Card Pro for a couple of months so far and it's been nothing but great. The setup is easy and Tim and his team were very helpful in addressing any technical question or concern. The main reason for selecting Gift Card Pro was that we found the end-user interface to be very user-friendly, interactive, visual and engaging. Also, the business model is fair - you basically pay on demand and can scale as needed. We can't wait for the holiday season to give it a push. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, we have to change our rating for the app. Everything worked as desired for quite some time. But suddenly, no more vouchers were arriving by email, neither for the recipient nor the sender.

We contacted support about this, but unfortunately the help we received was very disappointing. The whole thing dragged on for a whole week and we quickly realized that we weren't going to get any help here. Since lots of vouchers are always bought at Christmas, we quickly decided to switch apps.

Unfortunately, have struggled with Gift Card Pro. Customer service doesnt' respond. The system does not integrate well with Shopify so balances aren't recorded correclty making accounting very difficult. Sales datas are not accurate. Overall, do not recommend this app
