Let your customer send Gift gift card to the friend or third party recipient

Are you wondering how to add functionality in the store which can let your customers send gift cards to their recipients? This app is for you.

  • App works for all Shopify plans higher than "Basic Shopify" plan

  • Ability to record recipient email in order backend

  • We don't create discount codes or coupon codes, so your shop will not get flooded with these codes. We send actual Gift Cards.

How does Giftee work?

Let's consider from your customers' perspective. It will be quite simple to understand:

  • They land on gift card page

  • They purchase gift card & before pressing add to cart button, they enter recipient's email address, recipient name & custom message.

  • Once they place an order, & store manager click order fulfill button from the backend, gift card emails get sent to the customer as well as the recipient.

  • This way customer can gift a gift card.


Where can the widget be placed?

  • You can place this anywhere on the gift card page.

Where does email get sent?

  • Gift Card emails are sent to the customer as well as a recipient specified by the customer on gift card page.

Can I deactivate this app?

  • You can easily deactivate this app from app dashboard using enable-disable button.

Can I customize custom fields to suit my shop theme?

  • Yes, you can definitely apply custom css

Same as other reviews. Piece of shit and gift givers get very angry when recipient does not receive their card. and THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT!! ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS??? HELLO ANYONE OUT THERE???

Sorry to hear about inconvenience you are having. We check our support requests & no support query found in 2020 queries. If emails are not going through, make sure to have SPF & DKIM records for the emails you are using. We think that should definitely help.


This app doesn't work at all. Customers never receive their gift cards. Also, it edits the customer's contact information to their email and sends the gift card to their own servers. Plus they don't respond to any support requests (we sent some many months ago and never heard back), so when their app doesn't work on your site, the only way to get them to respond is to leave a 1-star review so they'll actually reach out to you.

Tender Belly

Awful. Doesn't work at all, and even if it did, it works by forwarding the email through a third party server...terrible UX.

But most terrible is that it silently modifies your product-form.liquid snippet and removes any prior customizations you've made to it, which broke important functionality on our site.

No idea how this app made it past QA. Don't bother with this.
