Love EasyGift! It allows us to (automatically) add gifts to purchases, providing extra value to our customers. When something isn't working correctly, their customer support is really helpful and quick in response. Thank you for all your help, Stephanie, much appreciated! I would highly recommend EasyGift if you're looking for an app that adds gifts to the cart for you.

um, okayyyyy...super cool and SO easy to install. Being able to have free gifts auto-added to cart without the customer having to go through the additional step of adding it, MAGIC! Plus, being able to add little free surprise gifts, YES. Bravo!

The app has helped us do exactly what we needed: automatically adding a specific product when a customer added a qualifying trigger item to their cart. Support has been fast and responsive too - definitely recommend this app.

This app helped solve our issue with automatically adding free gifts to the cart. The support team was awesome and resolved my issue within the first day. I highly recommend this especially with the holidays coming up.

Not too happy with customer service. Sent a request out over a week ago and no one has responded back. If I can't get help, I can't use the app. When will I get a response?

Nathan here, the product manager of EG. I am disappointed to read this review after helping you with the issue you reported.

From our side, the main point of delay was caused by our request for your store's collaborator code - this requirement is imposed by Shopify and was out of our control as we needed to log in to your store to see the issue you reported. Our records show our request for you to share this code with us was sent on 11th December and you replied on 18th December (the same date you wrote this review) asking why no one had replied to you, when we had.

We worked hard to debug the problem you raised with us and found you had many custom pages on your site where you add products to the cart/checkout in different ways which led to some back-and-forth discussion to pinpoint where we could replicate the issue. Within a day of us having access to your store, we found the changes needed to be made on your custom theme to resolve this issue with EG not applying rules. I kept checking your store and saw that these changes were then implemented and that they solved the problem but did not receive any update that they worked.

I am pleased to see you are still using EG and making good use of your rules to boost your AOV and conversion rate.

This app has caused us many many issues. Their glitches often result in not adding a gift or not removing the gift when customers remove products. Caused us having to manually edit lots of orders, wasted lots of our support team time, and the worst part is when we reached out to them, their support is cold and not caring at all, never tried to help resolve their own issues, only blamed us by saying that it's our own theme code that doesn't work and caused conflicts with this app. After changing to another app, all those problems were solved, then we realised that it's this app that doesn't work.

I am disappointed to read about your experience with the app. I have checked through our support records and understand why you feel this way. We have made major improvements to our support flow and added more resources to our support and development teams as we realised it needed improvement. We had an AOV of $85 excluding shipping and wanted to increase it above $100. Using EG auto add to cart free gift we set up a trigger so that if a customer spends over $120, they receive a free gift valued at $29.50 RRP.
As a result we have seen our AOV climbing and pushed past $100!
The app has a good analytics page that shows you how it is working to increase your AOV displaying the results for customers who received bonuses compared to those that didnt.
This app automatically adds the bonus item to their cart. We found the best way to achieve this was to create a duplicate product and price it at $0.
Hiding that product from our store using a special metafield step - Support tells you how to do it.
That way we didnt have any need for discount codes or having them clash with other codes that might apply to the same cart.
To solve the issue of having 2 products with the same sku with inventory, we labelled one Product Name-GWP and added the -GWP to the SKU as well.
Then used 'Bundles app' (from another provider) to create a new bundle which was the Bonus product (free) version, and assign one unit of the real $$ product to the bundle.
That way every time the bonus free one was given out, it would deduct inventory from the full priced product version automatically.

EG have another app that creates a slide in sidecart and suggested products to add to your order. You can also have the same messaging in the side cart about the gift with purchase. I recommend giving that one a go as they work well together.

Support have been excellent to deal with.
