EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift

Once we started using the EG Auto Add to Cart Feature, it immediately brought our AOV by about 25%, which not only helps with our goal of increased cart value, but also helps to lift some of the existing inventory we have.

EG Auto Add to Cart has everything we need for our GWP offers, and its compatible with bundle apps as well. The support team was especially helpful, they responded swiftly and clearly guided me through fixing an issue with discount codes. The error was resolved without a long back-and-forth. Highly recommended for both the app’s functionality and their excellent support.

EasyGift monkey-patches window.fetch and XMLHttpRequest and intercepts every /cart/add and /cart/update to decide whether to add a gift. I pulled its script apart: before releasing your cart request, it loads its rules from its own backend (aca.506.io) — and that call has no timeout on the main path (one code path even swallows requests into a promise that never resolves). When EasyGift's backend has a bad window, every shopper's cart operations hang until the browser gives up (~60–80s), then the request finally dispatches and completes normally.

We've been using EG Add to Cart on our Shopify store, and it has been a fantastic addition to our setup. It functions exactly as promised and provides a seamless experience for our customers.

What really sets this app apart, though, is their customer service. We ran into a minor technical issue, and Stephanie from their support team jumped on it immediately. She was helpful, professional, and found the problem (which we created).

It is rare to find app developers who offer this level of quick, high-quality support. Five stars all day—both for the app itself and for Stephanie's amazing help! Highly recommend.

This app does what it says and we have been pleased with the functionality and performance. Currently on the standard plan but may upgrade for deeper customization of some of the widgets and banners. Out-of-the-box design is not very premium but that was expected given price point.

We do not run terribly complex promos but so far have used the free gift with cart value for both single product no choice, and also for multi-variant product where customer chooses the shade/color.
