The Giftship team was incredibly helpful and patient as we worked through the best possible solution for our situation. While they weren’t able to help entirely, they did find a workaround that helped significantly

Loads of great features in the app and the customer service is outstanding. We're already using a few of the features and I am working on adding even more across our site and was able to cancel another subscription when I discovered that Giftship also had the same functionality that we were paying for elsewhere. The customer support is is so responsive and helpful.

Giftship is a fantastic app and our online store could not work without it!
There are so many features that can be easily adjusted and amended to suit your specific needs. Whenever I have had difficulties the developers have helped me instantly.
I would highly recommend this app and it's developers.

Ich habe diese App für einen Testraum von 7 Tagen installiert. Mir wurde sofort der Betrag von 59,99 abgezogen. Zusätzlich gibt die App vor einen Basis-Plan zu haben, den es nach Installation nicht mehr gibt. Finger weg!

Giftship is the best app we've ever worked with. Many features and customizations to fit your specific needs. Incredibly quick and responsive support with detailed explanations and assistance in getting the app to work the way you need it to. They have even gone so far as to build in additional features that we need. There is so much you can do with this app and we would not hesitate one moment to recommend Giftship and it's developer GIST overall.

The App Store listing shows a 'Basic: Free' plan. However, after installation, there is no option to select it — the app immediately redirects to a paid plan ($59.99/month) with no way to choose the free tier. The free plan advertised on the listing does not appear to exist post-install. This is misleading.

The Free Plan level is for Development Stores - this is stated clearly in the billing description section.

The purpose of having a Free Plan for Development Stores is so that companies can use the application in a Development / Sandbox environment to try it out before making a financial commitment. This is typical across Apps / the Shopify platform.

Sorry it anything was unclear in the description.

I honestly don’t know how this app has so many 5-star reviews. I’ve been selling online for over 20 years, and I’ve worked with countless apps and developers to add custom functions to my stores. Out of all of them, this has been by far the most frustrating app and company I’ve ever dealt with.

The installation process was unnecessarily complicated and poorly explained. When I reached out for support customizing the step-by-step builder for our store, I constantly felt like I was being treated as a nuisance for asking questions — even though my questions were reasonable and directly related to making their product work.

It feels like the app was built by a group of tech people who released it into the App Store without any real plan for customer support. Their communication style was unhelpful at best and dismissive at worst. I found myself dreading having to email them, and I avoided it whenever possible.

On top of that, the default look of the builder was clunky and unattractive for a live storefront. I ended up hiring a third-party developer to redesign it entirely, which defeated the purpose of paying for this app in the first place.

In short: confusing setup, frustrating support, poor design, and a total lack of customer care. There are far better options out there.
