Gleam Competitions

Although Gleam has very limited features on the free plan, it is still worth using. We love the look of the Gleam's new design; via the frontend and it fairly easy to set up. We have not encountered any issues. It would be nice if the team could introduce a cheaper plan; perhaps for $20. That way the application would attract smaller businesses like ours.

Gleam has been a gamechanger for us in doing some awesome giveaways with our creator partners at scale. Highly recommend!

Gleam is the best! We use it for lots of different giveaways, we have use it for years for about 25 different campaigns and its always been perfect!

I've used Gleam in the past but I am enjoying the integration with Shopify. I do wish there were options to earn entries by doing things native in the Shopify store (For example: visiting a blog) but I understand that this can be accomplished through less direct means.

We use this app to help build a giveaway campaign and hope to test the redesigned widget. We really like the new look of it.

They keep downgrading the benefits to plans, AFTER you paid for them Originally you were able to list 20+ entry methods on the base tier, then they lowered it to 15, and NOW it is 10. AGAIN, AFTER YOU ALREADY PAID FOR IT.

Actually it is useless to my website. I installed it to post a giveaway, but it worked not well at all. It'll cost 158$ on my billing list.

I'm extremely frustrated with this app. I've gotten support but it really hasn't helped me much. I really wish I hadn't paid good money for it.

Support was extremely helpful. They responded everyday to our emails. And they even went above and beyond it helping to configure our gallery plan.

Overall great app. Gives your company the chance to make something go viral. Definitely recommend!

I like the app, it works, but I get discouraged sometimes that some of the better options aren't available unless I pay more money.. Overall a decent app, but pricey.

Lots of options, great communication. Listening to their customers and constantly improving. Creative way to get people's interest.

This app is great for running competitions, wouldn't use another app.

Rather pricey after the free trial. The same thing can be accomplished with Mailchimp and a little scripting. We found the app OK, but as we said way over priced for most smaller shops.

I've recently started using gleam for my giveaway campaigns and sent many support questions. The response is always timely and they are very patient to make sure I get everything right. Highly recommend this app if you want some more flexibility with your giveaway campaigns!

We are planning to use Gleam app in our ecommerce store and so far the integration seems to be not very complex. It needs some learning curve to use their app efficiently though and we definitely will need some support to be able to use the app effectively.

Signed up and installed few days ago. Still exploring, and working on my first giveaway, but can already say this is a great app.
I've been personally contacted by Stuart after registering, and he gave me great support and answered all my questions.
Definitely recommend this. Looking forward to launching my giveaway, and seeing how it will help grow my email list and business overall.

Only downside, at least for me and for now : I wish the media/file upload actions were available in the Pro plan. Need Business plan to do that, but still expensive for me right now. Well, maybe later :-)

Gleam is a great app that is fairly easy to use. I was able to set up a competition quickly.

I did not read anywhere that, with the free version, I would only be able to see a small fraction of the total number of users/entries that were submitted to my competition. So when the time was up, I was only able to see a few and would have had to pay to see the rest. This is why I gave 4 stars.

Otherwise, this is a pretty well built app!

Gleam is definitely helping us ramp up our customer engagement and drive sales.

The best review app we had ever used! The free feature does the job although you could get more with the paid subscription! Kodus to everyone in the team who worked hard to create this app and made for small businesses like us to use. It is not so many people out there who are willing to share this for free. Amazing app overall!

- On the Free plan you have access to choose random winners. If you want to choose Manual winners you’d need the Pro plan.
- You can repick the winner on the Winners tablink
- We don’t offer a spinning wheel, we just display the entry that won (on the same page as above).

Update: So I figured out a work around with their amazing customer support. I put a script on a page where they are directed to when doing a review and boom it remember that and then they can click the button. Also I put it on my orders page so it also unlocks something. thank you good support

Well I have used these guys for a LONG time, then i stopped using them due to the pricing was a little high. Well the other day I am on the internet like all days lol and decided to hit a competition I saw on facebook. It was a gleam one. Then I remember that getting followers is priceless and something I wanted to do a little more research on.

I decided to reinstall after being with them for a while, and start another competition. MY ONLY gripe, which is in the pipeline...is that there is no way for them to check orders or usernames on the real time. Other then that, their support is QUICK. VERY. And very helpful, I just wish they could check usernames or account transactions like other apps. But again this is going to be worked on

So far so good. Runs great embedded on my site through mobile and on desktop. I have been trying to develop my own strategy to organize all of the things that Gleam is now going to do automatically. Will help to streamline the distribution of your marketing efforts. Looking forward to further results from gleam.

When I was making my shortlist of apps I'd add to my website, Gleam Competitions made the cut! While it took me a little while to understand how to set up my first competition, I was delighted with the range of options for people to enter my competition from mentioning their favourite product to signing up for my wedding decor ebook (I used 8 entry methods which I thought was enough). I will definitely be using Gleam for further uses, such as incentivising customers to spread the word about a new product or feature.

The best App I've used on Shopify, and quite possibly the best I ever will.

I'd recently launched my Facebook and Twitter accounts for my store, and wanted to raise awareness and drive traffic to them. This App is truly fantastic at both. There are so many ways that you can reward and/or incentivise customers to perform different actions like making a purchase, answering questions to give you some market insight, following you on Twitter, the list is plenty big enough for all my needs and more.

I signed up for the business package as this had all the features I wanted, most importantly being able to only include certain countries (I only ship to the UK) and having the competition tab located on my site.

The interface to set the competition up is pretty straightforward, and there's plenty of ways to customise things too. I'm very happy with this app and am looking forward to getting much more use out of it in future.

Gleam is the most powerful tool I have ever used for ecommerce marketing. We ran one competition, and saw an average of 100-150% growth across our email newsletter and social networks. Absolutely fantastic, real-time support as well. Cannot recommend enough.

This is the only app needed to generate subscribers and social network connections with potential clients. I have tried several other services but this one is by far the best. The customer services is extremely prompt and helpful.
