Once installed and working Google shopping has been great for our
iPhone wallet case store http://thejimmycase.com/

It pulls all the data from product pages and runs the feed automatically. Very cool and efficient. Setup of Google merchant account was a little troublesome, but worth it. Google shopping sends us customers much more efficiently than adwords.

easy to configure, finally works fine

For a product in beta it has worked very well for me thus far. Publishing a data feed into Google Merchant; it's not difficult but it is really tedious and this app made it much easier for me.

I would like a way to 1. update the fields via the .csv product upload, and 2. go back and add/remove products from my feed. I selected one category of products and don't see a way to go back and add to that. But again, beta, that might make it onto the final version.

I am updating my initial review a little. The product has some improvements and I am getting setup in Google as we speak. A feature they need is some type of Wizard to fill out Google Categories in bulk.

Example would be:
All products with Store Category that = 'Outdoor Eyewear' fill Google Product Category with 'Apparel & Accessories > Clothing Accessories > Sunglasses'

I will continue to review this app until I can give it 4 stars and feel good about it.

Previous review:

I tried the app again after finding zero solutions on Shopify. The app has some improvements made since the last time i used it but it still doesn't work properly.

FIRST you should not publish products if they have warnings this is going to cause people to get banned from Google Shopping. Not to pleasant. Why not put everything in a que and when all errors, etc are fixed allow the user to push it live instead of automatically doing it even if it has errors. I have to uninstall the app because of this.

Can someone please offer me support to get all of my stuff setup properly.

Thank you

Total waste of time. Unless you have days to spend filling boxes in.

Near Perfect App. Works Very Well. It was actually very easy to setup the app, but I had to add attributes to my products to make them compatible with Google Shopping and that was a bit time consuming but not (of course) the fault of the app.

My only gripe was that when I had a missing attribute the error message was "no shipping set" which was very confusing, but reading the excellent help files I could see that I had a missing attribute (in this case color) and after I fixed that the error message went away and everything published successfully. I actually think the odd error message was generated by Google and not the app.

All in all it does exactly what it says on the tin and makes Google shopping as easy as it can be.. but you really need to take some time to understand google requirements before complaining about this app.

Do not waste your time, resources, or energy on downloading and customizing this app. It is hilariously buggy and quite evident that Shopify has no interest in fixing it or providing decent support for it.

Couldn't upload anything, product description text is scrambled, keep getting shipping rate can't be blank error, despite all shipping rates being set.

Again, don't bother.

No way to add product type to products en masse. Makes the tool all but useless.

It's ok, but be cautious - you need to have certain custom fields filled out for this to properly function There is no way to mass import product information which is needed for ideal google listing. Be prepared to do a lot of editing of your products as there is no way to import

I published products by one of my vendors which went fine. But when I published by another vendor, the new products deleted the old ones in the Merchant Center. The worst part is that I don't even know if it's how it's supposed to work or it was a glitch. Although, I don't know what is the purpose to have the option to choose a section of your products if not uploading separately. And what about this 30 day expiry? Should I really manually publish all my products every 30 days? I would love someone from Shopify support to contact me. (I've contacted them already but the person didn't seem reassuringly knowledgeable.)
There are so many questions about this app that it would make life so much easier for users and support to have a proper description of it.
