Misleading Pricing – One-Time Payment Was a Scam
I purchased this app for a hefty one-time fee of $349, trusting the promise that it was a lifetime deal. Now the team has unilaterally shifted to a subscription model, completely going back on their word. This is deceptive and unethical—if I had known this was temporary, I would have never paid that amount.
It feels like a bait-and-switch. No grandfathering, no courtesy notice—just a stealthy push into recurring fees. Shopify should look into this behavior. Absolutely do not recommend this app unless you’re okay with being blindsided down the line.

When you purchased EasyTag in 2022, we offered a one-time payment option, which was valid and honored for over 18 months. During that time, you received full access to the app with no recurring charges. We’re proud we were able to offer that value.
In 2024, Shopify introduced major changes to how ecommerce tracking works—particularly around Checkout Extensibility. These updates required us to completely rebuild core parts of the app to remain functional and compliant. To support this ongoing work and continue providing reliable service, we had to transition to a subscription model.
This change wasn’t taken lightly, and we understand it may be frustrating—especially for long-time users. We reached out to affected customers during the transition and have always welcomed direct communication to help find fair solutions.
We stand by the quality of our app and support, and we remain committed to transparency and fairness. If you're open to it, we’d be glad to continue this conversation privately and work toward a resolution.
I initially purchased it because it was advertised as a one-off payment - which, by the way, was quite expensive. Now, they're shifting to a subscription model, and the new pricing is far from affordable. This sudden change feels misleading and unfair. I genuinely feel scammed. If I had known this was coming, I never would have made the purchase.

Nous recommandons totalement cette application. Elle vous permet de connecter très facilement Google Tag Manager avec votre site internet et ainsi suivre les données et actions de vos utilisateurs. Par ailleurs, l'équipe est très réactive et professionnelle. Ils vont vous accompagner en cas de difficulté dans la mise en place de l'application.

Honestly worth every cent I have an understanding of GTM but spending the time on it as one person running a physical store and website isn't viable and honestly I would probably never have set it up 100%. This is such a relief knowing its done and if I need help or have a question they are helpful, responsive and have fixed my issue. Thanks again Kels
