It was working fine until recently; my purchase conversion stopped tracking. GTM is not showing up on the post-purchase page.

I am also receiving an email to connect my Google account and Google Ads account, even though everything was already set up.

Additionally, there are no Google account and Google Ads account to connect. The app only has Google Merchant Center and Google Business Account available.**

We've set the app up as instructed. The Conversion data in Google Analytics is way off actual. We've contacted Google regarding the issue and they have basically said they cant help. Hopeless!

It’s terrible that I’ve tried reinstalling and uninstalling 4-5 times over the past three months.

- Setting up conversion tracking for Shopify is overly complicated. If I use third-party apps, they gain access to my ad account, exposing all sales data or ad information.
- If I install the official apps from Google (like the Google & YouTube app), they fail to report data accurately. For example, I had 8 orders from Google Ads, but the report only recorded 3 conversions, which affects ad learning performance.
- If I try to set up conversion tracking from GTM (Google Tag Manager) to Shopify myself, I need to know some coding or be proficient with it (layers, scripts, etc.). How can a sales manager do this on their own? Shopify makes everything unnecessarily complicated.

In conclusion, both Google Apps and Shopify deserve a poor rating due to the overly complex setup process for conversion tracking.

Have setup an account and guess what suspended. Added returns policy, refund policy, business model, terms and conditions, all details accurately added. Please kindly help me. Dreams shattered

Broken garbage, after wasting months trying to solve the issue with "misrepresentation", the app became incompatible after updating my store. After reinstalling the app, the store name is "invalid" within the new merchant account. Pure garbage that doesn't actually work properly. None of the error messages help you diagnose any issue and your left guessing, don't even bother with support because they wont help you. You're on your own.

Update 20/12-24

Installed app again, not usefull and still the same issue. Can not even find my google merchant account in the app on shopify. I wonder what respons will be this time LOL

Update. finally free listing was approved and products showing again. 2 days later it gets the same F...ng error with misinformation and all the same and NO there is not misinformation. This app is so completely useless!! Completely useless - google merchant center integration is bad. I have several webshops and suddenly my new webshop gets flaged and suspende formisrepresentation. And All info etc are 100% in good order with googles own standard.
also NO help from google, but they clearly dont care
as MANY MANY people state in here google are EXTREMLY vague about what issue i, I am 100% sure they dont even know themself. Also its AI bots 97% of the time that respons to you. and IF your lucky to get hold of a" real human, they dont do anything to help. Just dismiss everything! Worst company EVER and worst support EVER!
I do so much hope The EU gets to divide alpabet and google browser in to small pieces.
Google is a disgrace and harms alot of hard working and honest peoples living. maybe its time to stand together and sue them? I am already looking in to it with a lawyer.

Hi again! Our response will be to try and help you with your issue again from the basic information I can gather from this review. Did you submit a support case like we mentioned before? Doing it that way gives us all the information on your store, account, and steps taken, as well as permission to link accounts on your behalf, unlike here. If your Google Merchant Center account is not showing up in the dropdown, please make sure the Google Account you used on step 1 of installing the app is an admin on the Google Merchant Center account you are trying to connect. If you are trying to connect a subaccount, you should be an admin on that account, not the top level MCA. And again, if you can't get this to work, please send us a request to link that merchant center account. I can't do it on your behalf from a 1 star review, and the responses from a ticket you submit will be multiple days quicker resolution than writing reviews for help here.

(Previous reply) Hi - I saw you installed and uninstalled the app multiple times, and I wasn't able to see an actual support case submitted. If you're still interested, you should submit a support request via this link:

That way I'll have enough information to see what you were being flagged for. Unfortunately by connecting and disconnecting multiple times over a couple days, any information I can see right now is a but hard to confirm without more information from you!

Our Shopify website has correctly installed the "Google & YouTube" tool, but when tested with the "Pixel Helper," the "Google & YouTube" tool shows as "Loaded." However, performing actions such as opening product pages, adding to cart, and checking out always displays "Events received" as "0." This issue has persisted for several months and is severely affecting our store.

Riddled with weird bugs. Its still not generating any GA4 events and Google flat out said they are not supporting the plugin and will not answer even simple questions, like "does your plugin generate events".

I try and not ever leave bad reviews as a small business owner however in this case I feel I have to. I can honestly say I have tried everything with this app and the support from Google who blame Shopify is as bad as Shopify's support blaming Google.

I can easily connect all of my ggogle accounts, merchant center, analytics and ads and everything looks to be somewhat accurate but my products WILL NOT sync to merchant center, no errors, no wrong information they just do not sync either in the shopify app or in merchant center. Shopify have clarified that all information is correct and it should be syncing, google just blamed Shopify what a joke! By taking three days at a time to respond to emails, you are literally costing businesses money.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. It looks like you were stuck because there were no shipping rates for products set up under the General Shipping Profile. We're updating our messaging on the app to be more clear about what this scenario is and how to fix it.
For completeness, for a product to sync, we will need the product opted in AND shipping rates set up in the General Shipping Profile. Products would not sync if we are missing the shipping data (like when custom rates are being used, or using a third party shipping app with no backup rates configured). You can either add General Shipping Rates in Shopify settings > Shipping and Delivery, OR change the Shipping Sync in the app to Manual and go configure rates in Merchant Center directly. Again, we will update our app messaging to help explain this better from the start. Glad we could get you running again!

I installed this in two stores. It was bad in one and terrible in the other. Only part of the data (events) they claim will go into Google Analytics actaully does. Support for it is non existent - you get bounced between different Goole support teams and no one knows who's supposed to help make this integration work.
