Keep getting google merchant account suspended due to no products on the website, no instruction on how to solve it, and asking google support also doesn't work. It works well before the performance max upgrade. So confusing and wasting time.
Hi there,
Thomas here from Shopify. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience. We definitely want to make sure that you get the support you need regarding the issues you are facing with the Google Channel. Although Google is responsible for all account suspensions, I'll be sending an email out to you shortly with information that can help.

If I could give zero, I'd give zero. It does not work correctly and all my products have been sitting in pending for WEEKS. I never used to have any problems on the old app so not sure what is happening now.
Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience with the Google Shopping app. I'm sorry to hear that it was a negative one. The pending process is done by Google. It's known that Google is doing this manually and the waiting period is inconsistent. I've followed up with you by email to see if there's anything we could assist with and to log your feedback for our developers. Hope to hear from you! -Jason, Shopify Support
Google sales app not finding my merchant id, terrible app.
I need to find better one but all costing per month, so terrible.
0 stars. every product I entered is literally disapproved except for one. i even went on google shopping fields and typed in the product identifiers as well as the age group and sex for the shirts i have and still disapproved. no clue.
Thank you for sharing this feedback! While it is up to Google whether your products are approved there are some things we can check to see what may have happened here.
First of all, if your products don't have a GTIN you can set the to custom, which has been known to help with approvals. This page talks more about that - http://bit.ly/2ZRAK71.
I’ve followed up with you via email as well, to log your feedback for our development team and to chat about this further. -Lizzy, Shopify Support
UPDATE - after a reply where they said "they understood how frustrating this was" - still no solution. Do please check your accounts before setting up this or disabling previous apps.
Dear Michael
With the greatest respect I don't think you do "understand how frustrating this is for my business " it is costing me money every day.
All my google ads have ceased to run and sales have plummeted. I am more than frustrated, your teams lack of due diligence before implementing an app that you encouraged peole onto without necessary signage or research costs sales.
I have now split my google accounts apart, had to reset up both accounts, using one store under a new gmail account. However one store still says "Cannot connect to Google Account" and the other store it is forcing me to set up a new Google Ads account as opposed to adding my existing google ads account where my ads and all that data is currently.
It strikes me you were clearly partnering Google in this to drive people to set up new Google Ads accounts, but you were not for one second considering the huge swathes of users who will already have Google ads accounts and have any degree of complexity to their setup outside of the basic user you want to upsell google services to. It behoves your team to work out how on earth people like me and all the other deeply frustrated users can reintegrate with Google without having to destroy our existing setups to fir around the code asap.
1, Why on earth could we not simply input a pre-existing merchant account number on setup
2, why can we not just input our Google ads number.
Keep the default options for the new customers, but at least think about user flow and progress for others.
Now how do I resolve getting my new stand alone Merchant account on to my Google Ads account. Google has made a point of allowing users to merge and combine accounts, so Google Merchant Centre can be multi-client as can Google Adwords. How come this was totally overlooked.
I appreciate this is not actually your fault directly and obviously this is not personal, but this all needs addressing as a matter of urgency. Christmas is approaching, it is peak sales period and now both my channels cannot serve ads directly because of this.

Michael here from the Shopify Guru Team!
I have taken a look at your previous conversations with Aisling and they are correct in stating that splitting your Google Merchant Center account could work, as it would make you have the two separate accounts for each respective domain. In the case of being able to revert back to an old version of the app, this is not possible as the Google Shopping channel is new all together.
I understand how frustrating this is for your business and I want our team to hear you out on this situation. As we have created this app, I will make a request to the correct team to consider putting functionality for Multi Client Accounts in future updates to our app. While I cannot guarantee that this change will come down from us any time soon, I am sure that you are not the only merchant who would like to have this functionality.
Going forward I will submit a feature request to our team as a "Merchant Frustration" and if our team does have any questions about this, they will be in touch for further information.

Damn you Shopify - my feed was working fine with the old system. You promoted updating to the NEW app and said the old was unsupported. NOWHERE did you say you don't support Multi Client accounts. So now you say either I have to completely separate my Google Merchant accounts and therefore split my Ads admin. This then means the feed dones't work, we can't advertise on Google Shopping and sales have completely stopped. PLEASE SORT IT OUT. The reason we move to SHopify is for ease of use. Small businesses don't have the time to arse about cleaning up your problems when you don't bug check and test products properly. Dam it I'm angry. Been on the phone to India with google who are even more useless.
apparently my product cant be advertised because it 'enables users to gain access to unauthorized data- like if it was a hacking device'
so guess what is it that I am selling.
A camera. A camera with only function the one to do recording.
Meanwhile, cellphones , smartwatches, laptops and all kinds of devices with included cameras and millions of additional functions (and dont tell me a smartphone doesnt enable users possibility to hacking but a simple telecamera does) are being advertised nevertheless.
Injust and doesnt make any sense. And as if it wasnt bad enough, even support says they cant do anything about it and that the policies stand correct. Google, either sue yourself because you are advertising products you say you cant or allow me to advertise them because you are doing the same with millions of other products
Hey there!
Amy here from Shopify, I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm sorry to hear of the troubles you have been facing. Just to clarify, Google does follow its own set of guidelines and we don’t always have the details on why products are approved or not. I would love to take a look at this with you though and see if I can give any insight or provide any assistance. I will send you an email!

This app doesn't work, but somehow it says that it ran over $200 worth of ads. How could it do that when all of my products have been in "pending" for as long as it's been installed??
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, we value your feedback and appreciate you taking the time to share it with us here so that we can continue to improve.
Sometimes the products are approved on your Google Merchant Center and it still reads as pending in the Google Shopping app. If this ever happens, you can contact Shopify Support and our team can look into it further for you!
I apologize for the issues you were having with the app and would like to discuss further to see if I can help. I’ve followed up with you via email so that we can discuss this further and I can share your feedback with our development team. Hope to hear from you soon!

Get rid of this app as soon as possible. Our Adwords account never recovered when we updated this app. It didn't matter what I did to our campaigns, I couldn't get our products to consistently show up. It would even show a 'product ID' missing in our feed. Are you kidding me?
This update cost us $40K a month in business. Last ditch effort was to delete the app. I installed a different Google feed app and immediately saw an improvement. Once the sync updated on Adwords our products began to show up again.
