Vor kurzen haben wir unseren Shop zu einer neuen Domain volmer-clothing.com umgezogen. Das wurde im Merchant-Center auch für ca. 1 Monat akzeptiert.
Seit 3 Wochen erhalten wir Fehlermeldungen - u.a. "Der Domainname Ihrer Website muss mit dem hochgeladenen Domainnamen übereinstimmen".
Die Domain ist im Merchant-Center verifiziert und beansprucht und in den Feeds korrekt angegeben.
Getting products setup for shopify is a nightmare. Doesnt work at all. Tried doing everything manually and was a waste of time as well.
Hi - it looks like you haven't completed setting up the app yet. I'm not seeing your steps marked as completed, which means we can't initiate the merchant center product sync. If you see the steps all completed when you log in, could you send us a support case so we can help? Contact Us in the app or use this form to create a case: https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app
In the Google & YouTube plugin, some previously generated and uploaded primary data sources in GMC (Google Merchant Center)—for example, the one with the country set to Australia, named “Shopify App API,” and with the Feed label “AUD_13723795709”—have recently shown a product count of zero (estimated to have occurred between August 22 and August 25, 2025).
Meanwhile, the system has automatically generated and uploaded new similar primary data sources to GMC. Notably, the product count in the new data sources is exactly the same as the count in the original sources before they were reset to zero, and all historical product data has been preserved. This indicates that the products were in fact automatically migrated from the old data sources to the newly generated ones.
Only some of the main data sources have this problem, while others do not. The main difference between the data sources lies in the target countries.
The question is: Why does the plugin automatically generate new primary data sources?
Really poor support and guidance. Seemingly lost all connection to google analytics and cannot find anywhere in the app to add it back in!
Hi! I couldn't find a case or support ticket submitted to us linked to either of your merchant center accounts. Can you please contact support at https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app
You can also submit support tickets directly from the app in the menu by selecting Contact Support.
I've been getting error messages saying that my products are depreciated on Google Shop as they are missing certain values. Apparently this app does not fully sync with the metafields already built into Shopify. The only way I could find to do this was to manually input the metafields for each variant; and I have over 2000 products in my store. When I contacted their support, they never directly answered my questions and instead offered solutions to problems I didn't bring up. This app seems more geared towards businesses with less than 100 products in their store and their customer support is awful.
i advise everyone not to waste time with this app and google shopping, i spent years building a store and one fine day they will suspend google merchant and your ads without any reason, emails are sent automatically: we found a bug, we found a bug,... endlessly repeated, no friendly cooperation with this platform, i spent time and effort working and complying with hundreds of policy violations and in the end got nothing worthwhile, advertising prices are getting more and more expensive due to competition from other platforms, most of our profits are paid for advertising and the effort to build is in vain.
Hi, make sure you don't have any linked, or previously linked, ads accounts suspended - this can often trigger the Merchant Center suspension if that Ads Account suspension is not resolved first.
The newest update of this app has caused a lot of products for our business.
We used to be able to easily filter before bulk editing products - specifically Google metafields (color, size, age group, and gender) for apparel. We could filter by vendor or active/draft or sort by created and products with issues were an entire category that we could edit separately.
However, since the past updates - we can now only edit all of our products at once (which we have over 10,000 so it is impossible to work with anymore.)
Hi - this sounds like you're using the Products page Search & Filter functionality, and also the Bulk Editor, which is in Shopify and not a tool of the Google & YouTube App. I'd recommend submitting a ticket to Shopify about the missing filter options and the bulk editor limitations.
The Google & YouTube app doesn't own these pages and we haven't had a major app update that would have changed any of our metafields, so I think it was a Shopify update you're talking about.
The app worked good for a while now there are all sorts of problems where the URL has something added to it and the item is rejected by google for now working. All kinds of problems now - the gtin is not going through either even though it is there.
Hi - the URL format has not changed since the app launched. You may see certain parameters being added in Merchant Center to the end of the URL for analytics, but it does not affect your website or product listing. The only issues I've seen recently were at most 7 products with an Unavailable Product Landing Page for one day, but that has nothing to do with the product URLs and should not have affected the majority of the products you list. This was due to our inability to read landing pages as for a short time period, some traffic from Google was being blocked by Shopify security protocols, but that has long since resolved.
The GTINs aren't coming through because you have set your products to being "Custom Products", meaning they wouldn't have a GTIN. If you mark them as not being Custom Products, you'll see your GTINs being populated again.

There are many things I can't discuss about your store publicly that I can via support tickets, and I didn't see any existing support tickets before this review.
Used this app for years then woke up one morning to find multiple errors on my merchant centre. For some reason overnight all my products changed from in stock to 'blank' - only solution was to manually update everything to in stock on merchant centre - not an easy task on over 50k products - all are in stock on shopify.
Now my product description on MC is not showing my Shopify SEO Product description, its showing my product description when its set to use SEO title/description only.
Major issue is this over CSS capacity, again happened over night.
Why fix something that isnt broken!? This has nearly bankrupt my business ive gone from too many sales to nothing. I'll be putting all of my google ads on hold until this is all resolved. Read other reviews and avoid this 'sales channel' until they actually fix all of these issues.
Hi - I've gone ahead and replied on one of your case tickets. It seems that the over-quota issue was the main culprit when you expanded the product sync to multiple markets, and only a few products had missing availability. For others having quota issues, you can visit https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/additional_items
Horrible experience. Since migrating to the app they have flagged my store for several issues. Customer service was a nightmare. Now that I have that fixed after destroying my Google ads account for nothing.. The app has no longer reported sales to analytics for about 3 months now. I have opened a few support tickets but they aren't helping. Reading the reviews I can see several people share my nightmare.
Update: I have opened at least 3 tickets with that link over the past 3 weeks and am told that the department will not help, and that the issue is with Shopify. Can someone please contact me? Stephen@cheaplubes.com

Hi, sorry to hear about your experience.
For your conversion tracking issues, please check https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/12002338 for help in troubleshooting your currently managed tags. We aren't seeing usage of the GA4 tag (the Google Tag Assistant is a good tool to check this), so that article has some initial troubleshooting steps to validate. I've also responded to your case privately -- the methods for conversion tracking are different when using Google Analytics natively through the Google & YouTube App vs Google Tag manager vs manually.
For the product and account issues you saw, it is true we do not support certain types of products, which is a Google-wide policy and not just an app issue https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6150138
