It was really simple initial set up. I will give another star based on the results i see in 30 days.
I used this app to get started on the GOOGLE channel but always had difficulties being accepted. I then went into BUY GOOGLE and Free Listings GOOGLE through my GOOGLE Merchant account and finished setting everything up there. After being approved, I went back to my Shopify account and then was able to complete the integration using the Shopify app. I really don't know what caused the difficulties, but just wanted to relate my experience. Einrichten ging super schnell und einfach. Jetzt bleibt abzuwarten, ob es so auch besser konvertiert

I used this app to advertise my business and showcase my products. Google offers a easy to use platform to build my business.
The Google rep was very helpful and knowledgeable. He made the process feel simple for newbies like me.
The google shopping app works well enough for starters and people just testing the waters. It's a low-effort app to push a micro to small catalog without much modification.
It's probably good enough for anyone with under 100 products who own their catalog and have good, clean data in it.
Otherwise, I recommend going with a paid solution that offers more customization/optimization capabilities.

The issue with the gtin has to be fixed/changed. So many businesses are losing out on product sales on google due to this.
