While Growave was initially very willing to help us set up their loyalty program exactly as we envisioned, their support has been insufficient when it came to resolving issues that arose later.
We operate with multiple markets where product prices differ. Although the free-product reward works correctly in our base market, customers in other markets are unable to redeem a true 100% discount and are still required to pay a remaining balance.
Their team initially informed us that they had identified a solution, but we soon discovered that it did not work in practice. When we reached out again, we were told that no other options were available. Moreover, when we asked whether they could assist us in configuring a percentage-based reward as an alternative to the free-product option, they showed no willingness to help or explore possible customisation.
An utterly disappointing approach from a service we had trusted to support our business long-term.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry that the behaviour of the free-product reward in different Markets caused difficulties for your store.
After investigating the case in detail, we found that the issue is related to a Shopify limitation: discounts are always applied in the store’s base currency, and Shopify does not provide a way for apps to apply them directly in a Market’s local currency. Because of this, small differences can appear when prices are converted, and a “free product” may show a remaining balance in certain Markets. Unfortunately, this behaviour cannot be changed on the app level.
Regarding your interest in using percentage-based rewards instead, our team is available to help you configure the options supported by Shopify and Growave.

It's not surprising there are so many glowing reviews. Growave is perhaps the best app we use on Shopify. We use it primarily to collect product reviews and to manage our customer loyalty program. It is simple yet has a lot of functionality. Maybe the best part is they have a knowledgebase that is ACTUALLY useful and their support team is extremely fast and ACTUALLY helpful. They are so much better than most call centers or web chat experiences I'm used to in the USA where it is impossible to get ahold of someone and once you do they do little to nothing to get you what you need. The Growave support folks have great knowledge and are quick to resolve questions or issues. Five stars from me.

I have only just made our loyalty programme live, but the set up has been the best support I've ever received. My project manager, Janet was outstanding help. Quick, detailed responses and always went above to help. The team also helped me with dev work which they were not obligated to do and overall. We had a plan that didn’t quite match the pricing, but Maryam helped us work out a custom one that fit better! A lot of our customers really like the loyalty points and VIP tiers, and some of them have been coming back pretty often.

Worst experience I've had with an app or customer service.
We tried this app, but it just didn't cut it, plus it has quite a few bugs and limitations, so we decided not to use it..., even though it sounds enticing and attractive to have Reviews, Wishlist and Loyalty all in one integrated app - but nothing further from the truth. But I thought, fine, not for us, let others make what they will of it, but we will uninstall it.
And this is where the nightmare has started.
We are 3 months after uninstallign the app, and we have still not managed to get rid of this app. The app installs counless: metafileds, metaobjects, structured and unstructured, read and read-only metafields and metaobjects. Your website gets riddled with about 20-30 such fields in: prodcuts, variants, customers, orders, etc. + garbage code that affects your website's performance.
The worst part is that you simply can't remove them, even after the app has been removed. It completely messes up your website.
We have gotten in contact with them countless times: dozens of emails, hours wasted, back and forth with incompetent customer service (different people, so not just one person) who simply can't remove them, doesn't know how to remove them, and/or they think they have removed them but have no idea if they did or not.
They do not acknowledge the removal even after I sent them countless screenshots. I have also given them total access to the website, but they were still incapable to remove them.
Not to mention all the weeks lost while they say they will get back to you with an update, and they never do.
We have contacted Shopify support who have also raised this as a priority with them... still no result. Even Shopify can't hold them responsible. Shopify support agrees with me, and simply can't get a hold of them. Not even Shopify support has access or the power to remove all that garbage left behind by the app.
Absolute madness. 3 months in, and we still haven't got a resolution. They even stopped replying now.
I simply don't know what else to do, I'm desperate.
I didn't want to give this review but it has to be a WARNING to everybody else. DO NOT mess your website with this app, unless you want to cause irreversible damage.
I'm not even sure how they're allowed to operate on the Shopify app store when even Shopify support said this is unnaceptable.
I'm not sure how they got those positive reviews when their customer service is so abysmal.
Please, someone at Growave customer service get in touch with me, to look into this.

Growave combines wishlists, rewards, and reviews into a single system. This alone allowed us to significantly reduce the number of apps running in our store. Even more importantly, Growave is the first solution we have used that works reliably, professionally, and consistently.
For the first time, we have seen that our customers do not just notice wishlists, but actually use them actively. This is not due to a single feature, but because Growave’s experience and thoughtful implementation can be felt throughout the entire system. This level of consistency and usability was something we clearly missed with our previous provider.
The email notifications are well structured, logically designed, and highly customizable. The rewards system also stands out with features we have not found in other solutions. One particular highlight is the ability to offer free shipping as a reward for sharing on Facebook.
The presentation of the reviews is outstanding as well. On mobile, two subtle icons are displayed that do not interfere with the user experience. On desktop, two floating bars form a clean and visually harmonious unit. Colors, spacing, and many other details can be customized extensively, allowing everything to blend seamlessly into the individual shop design. And if something does not fit perfectly right away, a fast, friendly, and highly dedicated support team is always there to help. Special thanks to the entire team, and especially to Joel, for his outstanding and truly invaluable support.
Overall, Growave is a well-thought-out, powerful all-in-one solution that not only excels technically but also performs reliably in everyday use. For us, Growave has become much more than just a tool – it is a true growth partner that makes our shop noticeably more professional and scales alongside our business. We would not want to run our store without it. It is definitely worth taking a closer look.
