A quick way for customers to contact us and ask questions about the availability of products or about products we sell. Had some recent problems with Nigerian cons sending me multiple chat requests to my inbox. I blocked them on my end, but wonder if there is more that Shopify can do to stop these scam artists.

Great app, very useful and helpful to make a sale. I need to play around with other options for how it notifies me, but appears to have capabilities for more interactions

Only thing i wish you could do is archive the messages or have something to clear them after you have replied

Hey, there! Thanks so much for this feedback. While archiving messages is not currently available on the desktop version of the app, you can actually do this using the mobile version. Great app that allows us to provide instant customer service to our clients. The integration with Shopify and the ability to see where the customers are coming from (web page) as well as whether or not they placed an order is great. One feature that we would love to see is the ability to see the customer's cart and potentially edit it before the customer placed an order.

it is really helpful for customers if you are there to answer for them. However i have noticed a delay in getting notifications when i am on the road. that might be the internet provider. also i am really frustrated with people contacting for "marketing" from overseas, and somebody did that last night at 3am from india. They did not get a friendly response from me. I wish I could block people. i told the guy the chat box was for customers, deleted him as a customer, and 5 minutes later he signed up again to give me sales pitch. maddening.

Great built-in solution from Shopify that allows you to directly talk to customers. It has been very helpful as it allows us to give our expertise and advice to clients when it comes to professional gear.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review and providing us with your feedback. At the top of the conversation view, you should see the name of the page that the buyer was on when they initiated the conversation. The page information does not update, and it will only reflect the page where the conversation was started.

While visitors to my store seem to enjoy using this method of chatting the back end is a nightmare to use. You can't filter conversations easily, there is no bulk "Mark As Read" or "Assign to X Staff Member" option. I made the mistake of connecting it to Facebook messenger and now have hundreds of "Unread Messages" that were handled on Facebook's platform, and many times the messenger messages duplicate. This makes it impossible to find the Shopify Inbox customers. If the quality of the customers I'm getting on the Shopify chat(most are people just writing "PRODUCT NAME ???" in all caps with no context) doesn't improve I'm going to have to go back to just using Facebook's Messenger App.
