Live Preview Options is a great app to add various customization fields to your Shopify products. You can add swatches, dropdown menus, buttons, text inputs, upload fields and much more. In addition, you can generate a live preview of the product as the user customizes it. App works well for my use cases, developer support responsive.
Great app and great customerservice, prompt reply.
I originally posted a 5-star review here, and I think if you are looking for something relatively simple, are using one of the free Shopify templates, and need an affordable app for live previews, this still gets 5 stars.
But. After a year of use and a recent site refresh, I had to find something else. This app ended up costing me more time, energy and money than it should’ve - but you know what? That’s on me. I had to find a bunch of work arounds to get it to do what I want, and hired a developer - twice - to deal with issues. Customer service is responsive; but nothing is ever the app’s fault. The most recent issue was my last straw. After days going in circles with the developers and getting the same reply I took the leap to something new.
App has great options, you need to explore and learn to make it work to it's full potential. Great support from the team.
I was using Uploadery for customer photo uploads, but it didn't put a thumbnail on my order page, and on orders with lots of files uploaded and each with different variants, it was a nightmare to be sure I kept the right photo with the right item ordered. Live Preview Options, and their Support staff, to the rescue!
Uploadery was $20 a month and this is just $9 so that is frosting on the cake.
