So, everything started well. Integration was perfect. Listing templates were basic but functional and cross platform management was seamless. That was until I start selling multiple quantity items.
The moment I sold an item on eBay and the app updated the quantity for that product on my website, it would, for some reason, revert the price of the item on ebay back to the price listed on my website, which in every case was lower than my eBay listing price.
This would happen even after going back in to the listing manually to readjust the pricing.
Due to this, over the span of a month, I lost more in profit than the app costs to sub. Not good business practice. Therefore I have now cancelled my subscription and deleted the app. If this wasn't the case I would gladly keep using the app. However, this major bug made it unviable to continue using it for my purposes.
Your review is very concerning since we've not heard of this type of issue occurring previously when using inkFrog. It sounds like it could have been a case of sync settings not being set up to do what you had expected.

Works OK to sync Shopify to Ebay, but if you want to add another store like Amazon in the mix its a nightmare, they have NO chat or phone support.
Every time I try to email a list of questions, it takes between 4 and 12 hours and they only answer one question, then its another day shot waiting for a 2nd response.
Looking for a different company that has better support if they cant help soon.
Product updates, order, tracking - none of it updated reliably. Three weeks wasted, starting over with something new and hopefully better.
I tried this app and chose to delete it. Just didn't fit my needs. I simply decided to create my Ebay listings on my own. After I've deleted the app, there is still an advertisement below my products listing on my site stating "listing service provided by InkFrog" with their logo. I couldn't figure out where their ad is listed in my code, so I contacted InkFrog support. They sent me a Shopify link about "how to delete Shopify apps" and stated I would have to ask Shopify on how to remove the code. I simply asked them for a general direction where to look and they chose to ignore it. Maybe I got someone new or was having a bad day, but your customer support is non existent.
For anyone else that runs into the issue of InkFrog slapping their ad onto our site, they refuse to help anyone that has deleted the app, only current customers.
In the event that someone else has this problem, the code is at the end of your product listing. go to your product, click the source button for HTML and you'll see what to delete at the bottom of your listing.
Why is it so hard to give out that information that would have taken me 5-10 min today, but you refused to help me? Since I know very little about code, it took me about an hour to locate it and delete it. There is no reason you should have thrown your ad onto my site in the first place without my consent in the first place.

I ended up deleting this app because it was becoming more of a pain than help. I tried for quite some time to make it work and several attempts with support. Support did respond quickly which was nice, but they provided very "by the book" not helpful answers. I already didn't understand what to do and they would respond with eBay lingo and terms that continued to make no sense. My biggest issues were inventory was NEVER syncing correctly. When I would go to import a product it would say I had for example, 5 available...however, my shopify inventory would be different. If I didn't know exactly how much I had of something, I could easily import all these items to eBay and not really have them. There is a lot of back end work with this app still and I don't feel confident in it's abilities so I have disabled the app and I am moving on. It might be ok for more advanced eBay users, but I am pretty tech savvy and I couldn't get this to work as I wanted (not very familiar with eBay).
If I could give it 0 starts I would. The support team, as reported by others, is the absolute worst. They are rude, indignant and offer no solutions other than "fix it yourself". My support question was answered with "Please dont email and message us." instead of "Good morning, I would be happy to look into that for you." or "Give me a moment while I look into your issue." (Customer Service persons: Marcella and Marie). Secondly they add their own hyperlink and logo to all of your eBay listings. I've been told this is an eBay problem and I should fix it myself manually deleting it one by one on all 6600+ listings on my store. This hyperlink and logo is against ebay policy and can cause one's account to be flagged and removed by eBay and exists within the programming on their site. Given that they are receiving a monthly fee there is no reason for inkFrog to add this to their customer's listings. It's a parasitic practice. Syncing accounts does not work correctly, takes over 24 hours, has to be run several times in order to get all products captured and still does not capture product categories or all product info. This app is more trouble than it is worth for $30/month.
*Review Update April 21, 2020: The Customer Care team has advised their product does not have the functionality that it did have previously. Product sub categories at one time populated with the product when migrating the listing from Ebay to Shopify. When those sub categories abruptly disappeared it cut the functionality of all of my menus. inkFrog's reply is that the product does not have that functionality and offered no solution. This confirmed for me that their product is far more hassel than it is worth and can potentially cause major issues with one's ecommerce site. AVOID AT ALL COSTS or believe me it will end up costing you.

The export option to Shopify is still in beta and if there's a problem with it, we'd appreciate hearing more.
app doesn't work, products doesn't import and developers never reply to any email or chat. app has good things in it if it works
Leider in Deutschland nicht zu gebrauchen (Stand Februar 2023). Namen und Adressen mit Umlauten oder "ß" werden mit der immer gleichen Zeichenfolge "�" verstümmelt, so dass man sich in ebay einloggen muss, um die korrekten Adressdaten nachzulesen und diese manuell in Shopify zu korrigieren, bevor man die Bestellung weiter bearbeiten kann. Der Fehler war bei inkfrog noch nicht bekannt. Nachdem ich darauf hinwies, hieß es, man arbeite daran.
Ein anderer Fehler war bekannt und der gab den Ausschlag, inkfrog wieder zu deinstallieren: Das Textfeld für die ebay-Rückgaberichtlinien bei inkfrog erlaubt nur 250 Zeichen. Die rund 4.000 Zeichen einer typischen deutschen Widerrufsbelehrung akzeptiert inkfrog nicht, mit dem Ergebnis, dass die Warenbestände nur von ebay zu inkfrog/shopify aber nicht von shopify/inkfrog zu ebay synchronisiert werden.
Unangenehm fällt beim Installieren/Registrieren auf, dass eine Kreditkarte angegeben werden muss. Es heißt vom Support zwar, die Abrechnung erfolge über shopify, aber das stimmt nicht, es wird direkt von der Karte abgebucht.
Pluspunkte für den günstigen Preis und den ansonsten schnellen, freundlichen Support. Aber das hilft halt nichts, wenn die App bestenfalls nur halb funktioniert und kein Zeitpunkt genannt werden kann, wann die Fehler behoben werden.
Es tut mir sehr leid zu hören, dass Sie mit der inkFrog-Software diese Probleme hatten. Es ist definitiv frustrierend, wenn Software nicht wie beabsichtigt funktioniert, besonders wenn dies zu zusätzlicher Arbeit auf Ihrer Seite führt.

The app just doesn't work. I have been in contact with support, but it's just not working. The app does not sync orders and does not adjust quantity on ebay when items are sold (those two things are basically the whole point of this app, so it cannot even fulfill the most basic promises). My settings are set to sync as they instructed me to do. I don't know how to get this thing to work. Making the ebay listings is easy, so I really really wish this app did the absolute basics of showing me orders and keeping correct quantity. Please, just fix those two (should be very simple) things and it would be a 5 star app. Currently, I have the free version because I can't spend a monthly amount if it isn't working. I would gladly upgrade in a heartbeat if you can fix it. I gave 2 stars because the customer service is good.
