Dishonest, dodgy and unethical business practices.
We had a HQ deal with Federica for US $200 / mo. For the first 3 months they charged us this, then they changed without telling us and started charging us $400/mo - they claim to have generated all these sales, when they are only appropriating sales if a customer sees an image or video on our site with the app.
NOT worth it, extremely expensive and dishonest ways of doing business.

Saw your (2nd) review, and honestly, I wish this conversation had happened face-to-face instead of in public - because I think there’s a misunderstanding here, and I’d rather clear it up directly with you.
1️⃣ On Pricing - Let’s Get Clarity
We honour our agreements. If there was any miscommunication on pricing, I’ll own that, and we’ll fix it. But what’s strange is that we’ve reached out multiple times to discuss, and instead of hopping on a quick call, this ended up in a review. Feels like a missed opportunity, don’t you think?
2️⃣ On sales attribution - Here’s the Truth
The claim that we take credit for sales just because someone saw an image or video? Completely false.
✅ Sauce only attributes a sale when a customer clicks on a Sauce module and completes checkout. No click = no attribution.
✅ We literally align our risk with your success - we only win when you do.
3️⃣ The data doesn’t lie
Let’s look at the actual results:
📈 AOV is up.
📈 Website conversion is up.
📈 Customers interacting with Sauce are spending more.
So if Sauce is making you more money, how exactly is that a bad thing?
4️⃣ The bigger picture - let’s Fix This
I get it - if you feel blindsided by something, that’s frustrating. What I don’t get is ignoring all our outreach and then blasting us publicly instead.
So let’s fix it. Let’s get on a call and actually talk this through. If we messed up, I’ll make it right. But if Sauce is genuinely driving more revenue for you, then let’s be real - this isn’t about the tool, it’s about making sure you’re using it the best way possible.
And hey, if nothing else, at least I’ll get a chance to hear your side directly instead of reading it like a scene out of a courtroom drama. 🎭

Extremely Expensive - Customer Gouging
We negotiated directly with HQ for a $200/mo plan, ended up getting charged close to US $400/mo. Not worth it and very expensive.
The app claims credit (they charge you extra commission) every time a customer might happen to see an image or video and then purchase. They claim they generated the revenue / bring in additional sales - I call this attribution theft!
Try instafeed for $6/mo instead.

It looks like, Sauce has been crushing it on upsells - your net AOV is up, conversion rates have improved, and we only charge based on actual performance, not just a flat fee. That’s why the pricing might look different from the base plan, this last month the extra revenue from upsells has outpaced expectations - pricing scales with the revenue Sauce helps generate.
That said, if the value isn’t lining up with what you expected, that’s on us to fix. Happy to jump on a quick call to walk through what’s happening, realign expectations, and see if Sauce is still the right fit for you.

I really want to like this app but there are so many things wrong with it. 1. I cannot choose the video I want for my hero video. 2. Hero products video doesn't work. 3. I cant choose thumbnail for loop clips. 4. when I select auto play for loop clips, only 1 video plays on auto, some do too but all of them dont and most of them dont autoplay 100% of the time. 5. I cant choose the order of the stories. 6. none of the customizations really work for loop clips, let alone the other features. 7. the user interface is soooo bad, its pretty but simple things on the UX require work arounds just to make the website functional. 8. and the BIGGEST one of all, which I think is deceptive is that the media you upload goes to all the widgets - meaning what you use for stories, get played as the hero, the product gallery - you cannot specifically select content for specific widgets. thats ridiculous! Things will appear to work on sauce dashboard but on the actual site, it will not work. really unfortunate, how you guys can fix asap.

1. Hero Video Selection:
Our 'Media Display Rules' allow you to filter selections by custom hashtags and sort by engagement, recency, or sales potential. You can also drag and drop videos in the by clicking on the 'Edit Positions' button. If this isn’t functioning as expected, please let us know so we can assist you.
2. Hero Product Videos:
These videos are linked to specific products and display on Product Display Pages when a tagged video exists. If a product doesn’t show a Hero Product Video, it may not have an associated video. We can help you set this up using Shopify 2.0 App Blocks or toggling the 'Sauce Hero Product Videos' 'App Embed' to 'On'.
3. Loop Clips and Thumbnails:
Loop clips are designed for continuous playback without thumbnails. If you have specific needs regarding thumbnails, we’d like to understand them better to explore potential updates.
4. Autoplay Issues:
On desktop, autoplay should function for all videos. On mobile, only one video plays at a time to optimise bandwidth and user experience. If desktop autoplay isn’t working correctly, we can investigate this further.
5. Story Media Order:
You can customise media sorting using the sort icon. If this feature isn’t working, please provide a screenshot so we can identify and resolve the issue.
6. Customisation Challenges:
We’d appreciate details on which customisation options aren’t meeting your expectations. Sharing this information will help us address your concerns effectively.
7. User Experience (UX):

Its ridiculous the amount you are now charging a month for this. It used to be free. That is quite the jump. And there is basically no free option once you use 50 tags. VERY disapointed.
Was a nice app until the developer got greedy and decided to remove the multiple tags on hundreds of products that were already tagged for 2 or 3 products on my feed to push a $29 per month option for more than one tag. He gave no warning and I just happened to be updating my feed last night to wake up this morning to many tags removed.
Also there are annoying pop ups every single time you try to edit. Not worth it and removing. He gives no support whatsoever and you will not be able to delete your account since they never respond. There are way better apps out there for less that do the same thing and has support.
This could be not a bad app - ie. it makes a pretty, shoppable gallery however, I have to tag the products in instagram if i want them to show up on instagram, and THEN I have to tag them AND populate them on our shop page. It does not just pull my tags from IG and auto update our store page. I also can not indicate variant. For our store this is a big deal - like, tagging a product without being able to indicate the COLOR isn't helpful. Lastly, what really made me write this review... these developers are just being plain shitty and removing features and starting to upcharge for basic features. I am not allowed to tag more than one product now?! You've got to be kidding. This is where I find another plug-in. Byyeeeeee.
UX is awful. It won't let me search the influencer by their handle only with hashtags. It also won't let me add the influencer image to the product page without downloading code. It used to be easier to use but since they updated the app, it's gone downhill. Will probably delete the app and find something similar. 100% do not recommend.
