When a customer visits your store they're probably looking for something. If you know who they are, then why don't you take a guess?
Did they place an order recently? Show the current order status.
Was the order shipped recently? Show the current tracking status of the order.
Should the order have been received by now? Ask them how they're getting on and ask them for a review.

We haven't received payment for your order yet - once we do, we'll get right on it.
