Page says they have free to develop page but during the process of installation they force you into a free trial and $39/month. BS
If you are a developer who needs to create demo or draft websites to showcase to potential clients, this company does not currently offer a setup that supports that workflow.
Even when working on Shopify’s Developer Plan, they expect you to pay full price for every store built with their app — even if the shop is not published to the public and is only shared privately with selected potential clients via a link and password.
Shopify has clearly understood the huge potential in allowing developers to build stores without a monthly charge, and only activating payment once the website goes fully live. This gives developers the freedom to build, present and sell store concepts to new clients.
Unfortunately, this company does not seem to recognise the value of developers effectively promoting their app for them. Every store built with their app could become a future paying customer, but their current pricing model makes that impossible to justify.
