Our company has fairly complex shipping rules and this app made it possible! I have probably worn out this support staff with all of my inquiries over the last few years but they are so helpful and quick to respond! I've never received this level of support in any part of my professional and personal life. Would recommend to anyone!

Due to our multiple shipping profile needs, Intuitive Shipping came to the rescue. Their team spent several days with our web developer in helping to get their app up and running perfectly. Now everything is automated with a simple scenario based rule. It took a little bit of getting used to, but now our staff collectively can update products on the fly that triggers the right shipping method every time! Thank you guys! This app is a life saver!

It has a major flaw. The app does not notify you when any product is missing the dimensions or weight - and then customers can't check out.

Dimensions or weight can be easily missed when duplicating or creating a new product. If no dimensions or weight exist, the customer will get an odd error at checkout which says "we cannot ship to your region". There is no further explanation for the customer.

We have lost significant sales with this due to the lack of notice in the app about a product missing dimensions. One happened recently where somehow the dimensions disappeared from the product. We lost a month worth of sales on a major product until a customer notified us.

The intuitive app NEEDS alerts on this because something that prevents checkout is vital to a store and needs to be handled immediately. The only solution given by the intuitive team is you can export a spreadsheet (manually) which lists items missing dimensions.

What the app really needs is an email alert each time a product is missing weight or dimensions. This is literally stopping sales if it's not in there. So it is vital enough information that it needs an alert system.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have a positive experience with Intuitive Shipping. While it seems like an obvious addition to have notifications if a product is missing dimensions, many of our customers use SmartBoxing for only a portion of their catalogue, so the email notifications would quickly fill up their inboxes and create unnecessary noise.

Instead, we suggest that our clients using SmartBoxing for their entire catalogue create a backup shipping scenario that covers situations just as you outlined; if someone forgets to add product dimensions, orders will still go through. This is a significant reason why we include a free onboarding session and ongoing support so that we can fully understand your shipping requirements and suggest the best way to configure the app.

Unfortunately, the error message is in your Shopify settings and cannot be rule-based, it is universal for your store. We can absolutely help you head to the right area in your Shopify settings to change the language.

Paul has reached out to provide instructions on how to create backup rates, including a call to ensure we understand the entire breadth of your shipping requirements and that your configuration reflects your store's needs.

**UPDATE** The owner hopped on a call with me and customer support, immediately migrated new changes to the app, and fixed all of the issues with descriptions, product dimensions, and shipping calculations to mirror the old legacy system. Excellent customer service. While there still isn't a guide to the new interface and how it might impact legacy settings, the personal touch was very helpful, and they made sure the legacy settings remained and weren't overriden. They're also working on additional changes to streamline order packing slips and make it easier for our operational interface.

The update completely screwed up the entire shipping calculation. They updated the app without emailing or communicating to anyone, so now rates are all over the place, and products are not properly categorized with "ship together" or "ship separately" settings. The migration was done EXTREMELY poorly and none of the original settings were maintained for individual products. We had to go back in and manually update all our products which were multi-boxed because we were getting bad rate calculations.

Furthermore, now package dimensions are no longer being populated. That setting was automatically turned OFF, and once it's turned back ON, Intuitive doesn't display dimensions anymore. It just displays the title of the product. They expect you to go in and edit the title of the product with the right box dimensions, even though their app is supposed to "smartbox" everything.

We’re very sorry that you have had this frustrating experience with Intuitive Shipping, and we want to make it right. I know that you have been communicating with Paul, who is working with our dev team to resolve the issue with package dimensions in the new version, and my understanding is that a fix has been rolled out.

With regards to the shipping calculation/boxing issue Mike was helping you with previously, it is unrelated to the migration process and version agnostic. Paul has provided you with more information about this issue, along with an update on the package dims fix.

Our team has worked hard to ensure a smooth migration process for all of our users, and we’re sorry that this wasn’t your experience. We launched the new version of the app more than a year ago and delayed Legacy migration for several months while we built out the process. At the beginning of this year we notified all of our Legacy users that the new version was available and that, effective February 1st, we would be migrating Legacy users to the new version. This notification included a link to detailed information about the new version. We do apologize if this was not effectively communicated to you.
