So far I have had a good experience with IS. Any real issues I’ve had have mostly been on my end from lack of experience in general. I get fast responses though to all my questions which is exactly what you want.

I truly love this company. I started with them just last week and I had so so so many questions, and I felt like they were probably getting annoyed with me but, they were kind, friendly, responsive, and so helpful. I feel like I can truly put my trust in them. Anytime and everytime I have reached out to any of them they were more than willing to help. I am so happy with the supplier I found through them. I had picked one supplier that I really liked at first, and I still do but, they didn't have all their products in stock I say less than half of the inventory count showing and I will say I reached out to them to switch supplier and even though they normally wouldn't do it, they switched me anyway. I believe it was because they understood and agreed with my decision since it was not my fault that suppliers inventory count showed a totally different count from come what was synced into my store. Anyway, thank you so much for all your support and help Inventory Source crew. You guys kick ASS and I am very impressed with everything including customer support.

Good source of products, but I lacking in the user interface. You can't sort or filter through the feed easily. Also, it would be nice if there were more customization options such as tags, product type, etc. from the customization screen. The suggested MSRP for the majority of the products I've imported are WAY off. With that said, I've been able to import 200 products to my site and the sync has been reliable.

For my part, it works so so, I have a hard time doing what I need, either my knowledge of inventory source or it is not designed for what I need.

Very good app. Can use some ui redesign but globally does the job very well. Sync works a charm, orders flow seemlessly. I am satisfied.

I agree took with all negative reviews. So quick to take my money while it took forever to setup with suppliers. Little did they mention that getting setup with a supplier can be a night mare and take forever. Customer Service was the same lady that answered all the time but it seem when I thought my questions got answered it still did not fix the problem.

Was tired being on the phone everyday trying to get things sorted.

Steer clear use another inventory source besides them.

I tried this company and opted for the Turnkey package. It instead turned out to be a nightmare. Products had been uploaded twice. I had picked two suppliers and then I found out one no longer deals with Canadian residences. As for my "turnkey" site, I had two dozen menu's which I had to condense. I was missing pictures and products and videos from my supplier. There was spelling errors in the descriptions of my products. When I complained about this they had bounced me from one support person to another all promising me to fix the issues on my site. Nothing was fixed properly. I then had the Manager contact me and reimbursed me promising to fix the on going issues. TWO MONTHS later all that was done was getting the items removed that had belonged to the one supplier who no longer dealt with Canadians. InventorySource at first wanted me to do the removing of products part! Noway I had said!
This is their idea of developing a "Turnkey site"!?!? I had canceled and ended this ongoing incompetence on their part. I ended up fixing all the issues and I know next to nothing about webpages. That should give you an idea how unprofessional this company is at turnkey sites! Stay away from them! And check your updates with your suppliers and make sure everything is in order. I don't want anyone else to go through what I did!!

This could be a fantastic and invaluable app for sellers looking to resolve stock sync from a supplier to their Shopify store. There is a little bit of a learning curve with the app but once you figure it out it's fairly easy. The filter and update feature within the dashboard is too limited making editing more difficult and time-consuming than it should be.

The problem is - and it's a big problem - that the sync provided by Inventory Source is missing half of the data you need to actually make your store work! Once you start to analyze the data most of it is actually not complete and authentic from the supplier, but is poorly parsed with so many errors you can't fully use it.

For example:

- The feed data doesn't contain all description tags from the supplier meaning you don't have the product descriptions that are vital to sell most products. If you have hundreds or even thousands of products, this becomes a big problem and you can't add the descriptions that really should come with the sync.
- Inventory Source doesn't provide sync of variables from the suppliers data such as size options, volume, colors, etc. Products with multiple options end up all over the place in separated listings. It becomes a headache and pretty impossible trying to organize this mess into Collections and search filters.
- Some of the synced data is outdated and did not match the suppliers data. Some prices did not reflect the actual product price.
- Synced stock availability was not always accurate.
- The sync didn't come with the UPC/EAN codes meaning you cannot sell the products on other platforms, like eBay or Amazon, etc., where these codes are a must before you can list anything.

Over-Priced

If you want to sync supplier stock data without ability to automate the order processing they charge $50 a month which is excessive.

For Full Automation (Auto-Order processing, Sync Shipment Tracking to Sales Channels) Inventory Source charges an over-priced $150 per month with a limit of only 250 orders per month for 1 supplier.

You can get a more comprehensive feed with unlimited products, UPC codes included, and automated order processing (which Inventory Source charge $150 p.m.) for only $20 per month from other suppliers.

In other words, the most vital features are missing to even make it useful. What exactly am I paying for then? And forget about refunds... they won't refund you anything. I wasted two months on setting up my store plus their fees due to this poor quality third-party parsed sync. I have to start from scratch.

Had the sync been of much better quality and not faulty and missing so many vital details, this could be a "must-have" app for Shopify.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. However, I don’t think it’s a fair assessment to lump “the feed” into one category. We have over 200 suppliers with all different inventory feeds, and we have no control over what data the supplier decides to provide. We are simply the automated software link between your store and the supplier. Of course if you would like to reach out to our support we are happy to evaluate any specific integration.

Also to clarify on your comment about the “manual import” of stock data, this is simply not the case. In all of our plans we provide full inventory and product data automation, meaning automated uploads of product data and syncing of inventory. Unlike some of the other apps/software you might see ours allows you to quickly upload (and maintain) tens of thousands of products while controlling your supplier feed to exactly the products you want, priced at your exact price, and into your specific categories. In many cases, this would take a full time employee’s salary to be able to manage this for an ecommerce store, so we feel $50/month is a fair price to accomplish all these typically manual tasks.

Addition to my initial review below:
IS contacted me and refunded me for my troubles. I think this was very honorable. I believe they will do the right thing, it just takes a long time, and it takes getting in touch with the developer. I think they were honest with the outcome, just expect up to a week to get your issue handled.

Original Review.

No I would not use it again. It was great to get products on there quickly. But they did not update inventory daily as promised. Tickets sometimes took 4 days to answer. The IT department would not take responsibility for uploading products (a supervisor later did take responsibility in a kind way), I had spent 2 hours deleting, after canceling my account the day before. The errors cost me about 4 hours of work in corrections. I do believe they would have eventually corrected it, but it was urgent so I was not banned from Google Shopping.

I am going to write a review and update it as I experience their customer support. When you initially sign up, you won't be able to do much at all other than look at features you can use once you DO sign up for a subscription. That appears to be $50.00/mo at base level.

I did sign up and chose my existing dropshipper as my subscription. I was dismayed to find that I could not finish integration and get started. Their team has to step in and do that...and that's totally fine. I got an auto response after signing up but no next step email until 1am in the morning. I had already called support to ask about it and the kind lady did tell me to expect a 1-2 day time for that. Really?!?!

So, I now wait, having paid this $50.00/mo. to hook up dropshipping with my ecommerce store. I guess my only complaint so far is that the company seems to work in a waaaaay different time zone than Central US and the time it takes to get started is a few days. But support was responsive, kind and informative.
