Do not instal if you’re having better review apps. This app does not clean up after de-installing, creating havoc throughout your site!

I am using a review app that is acknowledged and respected through the world. judge.me was not the right one for my store. Now we have at least a week of cleaning up of their mess. mail Judge.me directly: "Your app was uninstalled but left code in 125+ products causing 1,033 SEO errors. Provide a cleanup solution that does NOT require reinstalling and granting data access. This is your responsibility as the app developer."

Don't work. When installing the review widget, I always get an error message:"
"review_widget" could not be added. There is a problem with the app block. Please contact the app developer.

Verdict: If you rely on channels beyond email for collecting real customer reviews, Judge.me is no longer the right solution.

We are extremely disappointed with Judge.me’s recent decision to stop verifying imported reviews. Our primary review sources are WhatsApp, which help us collect far more authentic customer feedback than email alone. By only allowing email verification, Judge.me has made verified reviews almost useless for us.

From a customer’s perspective, reviews without proper verification risk looking fake, which directly hurts brand credibility. This completely defeats the purpose of using Judge.me in the first place, the platform was supposed to help us build trust through verified reviews, not take that away.

We’ve already started exploring alternative platforms that actually support multiple review sources with proper verification. Unless Judge.me reconsiders this decision or introduces whatsapp verification, we will unsubscribe very soon.

Update on 4th December 2025: Judge.me can't integrate reviews from individual products into product bundles created by Shopify's native Bundles app! Such a basic feature and Judge.me can't do that? Unbelievable...

My previous rating was 5 stars, and I have just downgraded to 1. I encourage other merchants to do the same. Judge me is not any more what it used to be. It's all about THEM now, and they don't care about your business. I have never seen a business where as a customer you have to apologise to them because you don't understand how their business works.
On their chat support they offer something and then by email reply they can't offer that. Their "lovely" email customer service makes a great effort in trying you to understand how their business works, while they make absolutely NO effort in understanding your needs as a merchant. I don't know for how long we will be for judge me, but if you are thinking about downloading this app, I would not recommend it anymore.

I don't know what happened to Judge.me. They always offered fast and competent service, but that has changed. I've spoken to multiple customer service representatives and have been waiting for days for them to fix an issue with their testimonials carousel, which works on desktop but not on mobile. They still haven't been able to resolve it, and their communication isn't even great. I'm giving them one more day before I cancel this (not cheap) app.

UPDATE: Two more days of waiting, and I've reached my limit. It's deeply disappointing that they've failed to fix the testimonial carousel for this many days. This is truly a shame. There's an undeniable lack of competence here, and I absolutely cannot recommend this company any longer.

Awful support and constant technical issues. We've been using Judge.me for 3 years across 7 of our Shopify stores, but enough is enough. They misled us into their paid plan with promises of collated reviews across our global stores. Now, they claim a 'technical glitch' is preventing reviews from our Indian store (teacurry.com) from showing on our international store (teacurry.us). It’s been three days of major sales losses, and they remain completely indifferent to our situation. With no solution in sight, we're forced to switch to another review app. Avoid using them for your store at all costs. There are plenty of other providers who won't deceive you with false promises.

Gracias por tu comentario y sentimos mucho que tu experiencia haya sido frustrante. Entendemos perfectamente cómo puede sentirse limitado el plan gratuito y lo difícil que es tener que ajustar estilos manualmente, especialmente cuando cada hora cuenta en un negocio pequeño.

Solo para aclarar: incluso en el plan gratuito es posible cambiar el color principal desde la configuración del app (lo que afecta a estrellas, botones y otros elementos), sin necesidad de CSS en muchos casos. Aun así, comprendemos tu punto y ya te hemos contactado en privado para ofrecerte ayuda directa y opciones para que puedas personalizarlo de la forma más sencilla posible.

Moving away from judge.me has been a nightmare. They make it so that you can't leave, since they won't give you anything other than customer's email and review. This makes matching reviews to order IDs and product IDs almost impossible if you have thousands of reviews.

They have repeatedly declined to provide any support for the reviews export.

Larger businesses should stay clear away from judge.me. You will regret working with them once you decide to explore more robust options and they try to keep you against your will.

We're genuinely sorry to hear about your experience transitioning away from Judge.me.

While our export file doesn't have Order IDs (our team will be looking into this improvement), we do include Product IDs and Product Handles for each review. That said, we understand that mapping large volumes of data can be challenging and we’re glad to share that we were able to work together and make the export work to your preferences. Really appreciate your patience and collaboration in the process!

They are locking more and more features behind their paid plan, not worth setting up. At some point they will force you to buy their plan, at which point you will have to redo all your reviews on another app.

Update mid-2024: Still the same issues after 3 years.
I have been using this app for almost 3 years now, it is good for stores with only one language but it seriously lacks multilingual features:
- product names are not translated (in both email and widgets)
- product urls are not translated (in both email and widgets)
- shop urls are not translated (in both email and widgets)
- coupon email is not translatable
- verify email is not translatable
- reviews can not be translated
Shopify Multilingual APIs have been released almost 4 years ago. It is definetely time to upgrade this app to support these APIs completely or we will continue to loose potential reviews or also sales (from coupon email because they are not translated, but they are only on the main language).

For example, if I send you a request review email in French, and the customer sees the English product title, you are obviously getting zero reviews... this is crazy after so many years and after all the money I gave for this app!
