Extremely unhappy. Klaviyo is an OK email service, it is not super user friendly or smooth, it get's the job done.
Last year, my monthly price went from 80usd to 150usd.
And if I pause and resubscribe, it would be 200usd.
That is a 250% price increase.
During slow periods now, I cant keep my costs low, because then they will squeeze more money from me.
I would be very cautious picking klaviyo today.
They are in a phase now of just capitalizing the living hell out of their customers.
I am looking very hard to get out, and never come back. My energy to trust the company even if they adjust the prizing in the future would not be there.
So be cautious, if you get on their payroll, they will use you as hard as they can, and it is probably not great for either your or their business long term.
they are moving into a charge method when they want to charge you like they do provide the sales, but they really don't. They help send emails, the rest of all services are nothing unique at all. Meta owns their traffic and sells it to you. Klaviyo helps you communicate with your costumers, but they want to charge you like they also own the traffic.
But they don't.
Your customer lists are yours.
Not klaviyos.
They do not bring this value.
Be careful, and if you sign up, get ready to get used as hard as they can to get all the money out of you. You will end up in a annoyed frustrated position, the more dependent you get on them, the more they will take advantage of you as time goes by.
Think of it like telling a secret to your best friend, and then they will start blackmailing you not to tell it to somebody else, that is the feeling you will have in partnering with klaviyo.

Seems like entire system built to rip you off.
We paused our use of Klaviyo for a while. When we returned, our paid plan had been deactivated, which was understandable. However, we then encountered a billing loop that made it impossible to clean up our account without first paying for profiles we do not intend to use.
Here is the issue:
1. Without an active plan, we cannot suppress profiles manually, in bulk, or through the API.
2. We also cannot reactivate the account on the free plan because the number of active profiles exceeds the free-tier limit.
3. The only option presented is to purchase a paid plan covering the entire existing profile count first, even though the purpose of reactivating the account is to suppress inactive profiles and reduce that count.
4. If we pay for the oversized plan, suppress the profiles, and then downgrade, the initial payment is not refunded or credited toward future invoices.
5. We also tested bulk suppression through the API. The API accepted the request and marked the job as complete, but all profiles were skipped:
* Total count: 100
* Completed count: 0
* Skipped count: 100
6. We found similar reports in Klaviyo’s community forums, but we could not find a practical self-service solution.
7. Access to customer support is also restricted without an active paid plan, which makes resolving the issue even more difficult.
This creates a frustrating circular problem: we cannot suppress profiles without reactivating the account, and we cannot reactivate the account without first paying for profiles we specifically want to suppress.
Requiring customers to pay for an oversized plan before allowing them to remove inactive profiles feels unfair and unnecessarily restrictive. Businesses should not have to pay a substantial fee simply to regain access to basic account-cleanup tools.

Klaviyo stated they have protections in place to keep bots from signing up creating fake emails. I am a small business and my email is full of fake emails. I try to delete them but they don’t disappear. I can’t keep ahold of any one in support until I upgrade and pay a monthly fee or lower the amount of emails in my account which is not working. I guess you can’t get help unless you pay them. It is a difficult platform to use also. The best option is to delete my entire account and go to a different email provider. I don’t want to work with a company that can’t help unless you pay them!!

Klaviyo urgently needs to take inspiration from Canva because right now the editing experience feels outdated, clunky, and honestly exhausting.I’d honestly go as far as saying that Klaviyo is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used in my entire life when it comes to editing anything. The email marketing editor is unbelievably complicated for absolutely no reason. Nothing about it feels intuitive. Every simple task turns into a frustrating, time-consuming mess.
It genuinely feels like the product was designed by engineers who never actually had to create a real marketing email themselves. The UX is terrible, the workflow is confusing, and basic editing actions feel painfully overengineered. Instead of helping you move fast, the platform constantly fights against you.
What’s shocking is that email marketing should be simple in 2026. Apps like Canva proved years ago that powerful tools can also be clean, visual, and easy to use.
I never write negative reviews about apps. In fact, this is probably the first time in my life I’ve felt the need to leave one. But the experience was genuinely that bad. For a platform this expensive and this popular, the editor is embarrassingly bad.

I used Klaviyo for years between 2018-2020 and I was happy with it despite the high costs.
More recently they introduced caps on how much you can email before going to the next tier, and their caps are extremely restrictive compared to other ESPs. In order to send 5 emails a week to my entire list costs me double what I'd pay in my tier normally.
So for 2000 contacts I'm paying $100/month to send what I want to send. I'm not against a (good) company making money, but their cost is roughly $1 for 10000 sends and they charge you 20x markup just on the sends.
This is absolutely ridiculous and their prices don't justify this when you have better and cheaper options available. I'd stay far away from them.

Absolute scammers! BE CAREFUL with this guys! I setup in my Klaviyo settings not to be charged if i exceed my limit of $45 plan.
I was assured by their support that i will not and then after just 30 days they were about to charge me more than $600
Thankfully i found out before the charge and canceled the service! Do not trust their settings. They purposly play with words to trick you thinking the "stop" in their settings is for the "profile and email" plan, but its only for the emails and if you exceed that limit you will be charged, in my case a LOT!
Scammers, do not trust their support too!
btw, they also show you misleading conversions - claiming the conversion is made from Klaviyo when it's clearly from other source and Klaviyo email was not even opened by the customer!

If you have profiles that you don't send emails to, we strongly recommend suppressing them. You don't pay for suppressed profiles, but you retain their data so you can understand the actions they took.
Scammers! I was charged $390 when suppose to be $45
They mislead your in their settings that you wont be charged if you exceed your limit, but you will be so be careful!
There conversions metrics are also highly exaugurated.
Out of 12 conversions they claim i manage to confirm only 3.
Go to other services llike PushOwl, do not use this scammers!
