I do not recommend. You can have 3 free languages on the native Shopify and then if you add this app, the 3 you already have for free are counted as if part of their plan, so you need to pay extra to get to add a new language and pay the 3 you already translated with another app. It makes no sense to me. Unistalling it now because I am certainly not paying for the translatation to languages I have already translated the site too...
Hello, Les Enfants Team!
Thank you for sharing your feedback — we're sorry to hear about your negative experience with LangShop
That said, LangShop offers a much wider range of features and customization options compared to the native Shopify tool. All translations - including those you've already completed - can be managed, edited, or re-translated directly in our app, giving you more control and flexibility in one place.
If you'd like, our team would be happy to review your setup and suggest the best option for your needs - just reach out to us anytime.
We're always open to feedback and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Best regards,
LangShop team
LangShop has been very useful for managing translations across different parts of our Shopify store. Translating products, pages, theme content, and other components is straightforward and saves us a lot of time.
Their customer support has also been responsive and helpful whenever we’ve had questions. We hope LangShop continues to improve and refine the app, but overall, it’s been a solid and convenient tool for running a multilingual store.
Dear GSou Snow!
Thank you for the great review! We’re glad LangShop is saving you time across products, themes, and pages. We appreciate your feedback on improvements - our team is always striving to enhance the app. We look forward to continuing to support your multilingual journey!
Best Regards
LangShop Team
The app translations were poor at the beginning, until the AI store context feature was implemented. After that, the translations were perfect for around 8–9 months.
Now, the translations sometimes work as expected and sometimes they don’t. This is mostly the case with metafield translations — they sometimes ignore the AI store context, and even glossary rules do not help.
I am convinced this is a bug in the app, but support claims it is caused by OpenAI ChatGPT 5.4. I find this very hard to believe, because the app is the one feeding the data to the OpenAI API. If I paste the same text directly into ChatGPT, it translates everything correctly.
The app currently seems very buggy. Metafield translations are unreliable, both with OpenAI and DeepL Pro, and in their current state they simply cannot be used on a live webshop. It is definitely a frustrating experience for us, and we are investigating our options.
And the support is definitely not 24/7. But that is the smallest issue I have.
Hello, GPerformance,
We are very sorry to hear that your recent experience with our app has been negative. We completely understand how frustrating this must be for you.
We want to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and assure you that we are committed to providing a better user experience.
We would like to investigate the inconsistencies in the translations of metafields and find the root cause of this behavior. We have sent you a message regarding this matter and would appreciate it if you could please get back to us with more details, so that our developers can address it properly.
Thank you for your understanding and patience. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience!
Best regards,
LangShop team
