Dangerous for brand image – Zero context awareness
I installed this app expecting smart, context-aware AI translations, but the results were disastrous and unprofessional. I run a jewelry store, and the translations were completely literal, missing the context entirely:

Embarrassing Menu Errors: It translated jewelry "Cuffs" to "Esposas" (Handcuffs/Wives), "Outlet" to "Salida" (Physical Exit Door), and items to "Juguetes" (Children's Toys).

Grammar & Tone Issues: The text constantly switches between formal ("usted") and informal ("tú") within the same paragraph. It also fails basic gender agreement rules (using masculine adjectives for feminine nouns like "joyas").

If I have to manually rewrite every single line to avoid scaring off customers with broken Spanish, there is no point in paying for this app. The free native Shopify tools do a better job than this. Not recommended for professional stores.

After reviewing your case, we identified that the translations were generated using a basic translation engine, which can result in literal wording, tone inconsistencies, and grammar issues when industry-specific context is required. We also confirmed that glossary rules only apply to new translations and require a full retranslation to take effect.

We take your feedback seriously and are actively improving how we communicate glossary usage, tone consistency, and translation context to prevent similar issues in the future. Our team has since reset your translation quota and provided additional credits so you can retranslate your store with improved accuracy.

Almost good, but there are always problems coming up.

I currently get random symbols/words showing up on the site, which are not listed in the translations list. They just appear on the site. You cant fix it. And the support is not very rushed to fixed it since it has been a week of a random word in my navigation which they didn't fix. I always get we will pass it to the team and let you know. But no one let me know anything and the problem persists.

The automatic translation is bad. And I am a bit afraid to pay for the AI translation plan seeing how half working the app already it.

The glossary also works halfway.

The manual translations get overwritten, or just dont save at all.

Maybe writting this review gets me faster support because we already spent too much time going back and forth with this app.

Ze vertalen het goed, app werkt OK. Alleen de tekst wordt op de server van Langwill gehouden en ze geven het niet vrij. Het is een lock in. Mijn advies: kies voor de native app van Shopify
