After using Loop Subscriptions across multiple stores, I can confidently say it's one of the most frustratingly stagnant platforms on the market. What started with potential has turned into a case study in missed opportunities and complete lack of innovation.

Zero Customization, One-Size-Fits-None

Loop sells the idea of being flexible and Shopify Plus-friendly, but in reality, it's rigid, bloated, and overly reliant on basic templates. The lack of front-end customization options makes it near impossible to create an experience that feels native to your brand. You want a modern flow? Forget it. You’ll be stuck wrestling with limitations that shouldn’t exist in 2025.

No Real Retention Tools – Just Wishful Thinking

While other platforms are actively building retention mechanics like personalized win-back flows, smart pause/skip incentives, or tailored reactivation offers, Loop is still pitching "skip a month" like it's a game-changer. There’s no strategic churn management, no dynamic rewards, no real ownership over how you keep your customers engaged. They give you a calendar and a prayer.

Painfully Behind the Curve

The e-commerce landscape is moving fast, and Loop just isn’t keeping up. Their competitors are miles ahead, offering advanced analytics, deep integrations, and retention-first thinking. Loop, meanwhile, acts like it’s 2021 – and even then, it would’ve been average at best.

If you’re running a serious DTC brand and care about owning your subscriber journey, Loop isn’t the tool. It’s an outdated, cookie-cutter solution in a space where innovation actually matters.

I joined Blueprint in October 2024 and this is the only app the business utilizes to support our customers; and to be honest, its wonderful to use as a business partner and as a consumer from what has been shared with customers. I haven't gotten to fully dive into the analytics portion of the app but I do intend too in the coming coming weeks.

For a business perspective: Manan and the team have been absolutely wonderful and extremely efficient with support. And graciously patient as well with providing well rounded support that empowers us even further. Solid teamwork and always kind.

We have had an excellent experience with Loop Subscriptions! They made the transition of our subscription payments from Stripe seamless and hassle-free, even with our unique setup as a headless Shopify store. Loop was incredibly accommodating to our specific needs, completing a few development change requests promptly and efficiently. Moreover, their support team deserves special recognition for being consistently helpful and responsive. Thank you Team Loop!

Loop has been an outstanding partner, consistently delivering top-notch support and innovation. Their team is incredibly personable, detail-oriented and highly responsive, addressing any issues immediately. The platform itself is intuitive, with excellent reporting that continues to evolve. We're especially excited about their gamification feature.

We switched from Recharge to Loop due to better access to features at a significantly lower monthly rate, along with responsive, dedicated account teams. The migration process was seamless, and we've quickly set up new features like dynamic bundles and order-specific customer upsells. Our experience over the past four months has been outstanding, from the migration to the initial strategy recommendations. I highly recommend Loop to anyone evaluating subscription platforms.

The app is great to be able to support and manage your subscriptions. You can add personalisation as you need and want it. Above all, the team is what I am most happy about. They respond really quickly and help you with anything you need. Would recommend
