We were charged 39,90€ for an app we're not even using anymore! The app was deleted weeks ago in the shop and the money taken off the account today!!!!

Yishai from the Loox team here - I totally understand how stressful it can be to see an unexpected charge on your invoice.
Shopify should automatically stop all future app charges once the app is removed from your store. With that said, you might see a charge that was created before Loox was removed.
I took a look at your account and I can see that this is indeed the case here, the charge was triggered and already appeared on your pending invoice a few weeks before Loox was removed.
We have contacted you privately to sort this out for you, so please keep a look out for an email from us.
BEWARE - All YOUR customers and YOUR reviews (as payment for the app up until the point of cancellation has been made to loox) will be taken from you should you decide to cancel loox.
A gross over stepping of authority. You can choose NOT to have all YOUR hard earned reviews deleted by loox by continuing to pay them indefinitely.

Note to those using the Scale version, LOOX has a potential charge when your order exceeds 300, there is an additional charge of up to $760, it gets expensive and even when I turned off the extra features, I was still overcharged . Their customer support is also not real time and you need to wait a long time for the issue to be resolved .
Convenient app for reviews but they hide almost the majority of their features behind multiple tiered paywalls.. For basic branding features or settings they try and force you to pay upwards of $60 a month for their "pRo" plan.
What a ridiculous price for literally a review widget and to change the wording of request emails. Money hungry app, consider other apps with the same features for a FRACTION of the price.

Loox offers different features on different plans to match the growth of each merchant and their brands.
In addition, customizing the email text is available on all plans including the $9.99 (Basic plan).
You can do that through your Loox admin, in "Collect reviews" under "Review request email".

I had not yet installed this app properly,however it managed to add itself into my theme and show all my products as 1 star rated!!! There was no reviews on loox as I had not installed it yet. Be careful as I didn't notice for days that all my products looked as if they are badly rated, I don't understand why that would happen, really not good and has likely lost me a lot of sales during what is suposed to be the busiest time of year!!

Biggest mistake i ever made on shopify just to installed this App! once you subscribe there is no way out! even if it says uninstalling app from shopify store will be automatically unsubscribe ! thats not true ! billing keeps coming ! no answer from support or email! its discusting!

It might be that an app charge is already included in an invoice before the app is removed and, hence, still appears after it is uninstalled.

The fact that you ask permission to take every single drop of data from the store for the app to be installed even though you are a paid app is disgusting.

Loox, like all apps on Shopify, requires certain permissions to provide our services. Each permission that we ask for is purely for the proper functionality of the app and it's services as both our merchants and their customer's privacy is important to us.
I also want to assure you that we would never use any data from your store outside of the reasons that we specifically require.
