DO NOT DOWNLOAD:
I have deleted this app twice now. And it still charges me monthly $35 I am not even sure how I can resolve this issue. I was told I needed to contact the app to cancel my subscription. I sent them an email no response yet. I also would like a refund of my money also.

Apps cannot charge merchants after their app have been removed from stores as this process is controlled automatically by Shopify.

App charges that were already included in your invoice before the app was removed will still appear even after the app is uninstalled as the app was in use for part of the billing period.

Es horrible, cuando desinstalen la aplicación les van a hacer un cobro de 9 dólares, aun no tengo respuesta acerca del reembolso. Instalen otra aplicación.

They're literally stealing money with their plans.

Our store got charged $400 last month for a plan we didn't choose.

While I understand it's stressful to get a charge you weren't expecting, the plan and its pricing were presented and approved by your team and no money whatsoever was taken without prior approval of the plan's terms.

Apps on Shopify in general, can only charge for their app if the merchant explicitly chooses and approves payments for that subscription.

Since our plans are designed to scale with you, they include additional charges that are based on your usage of the system each month. The charges you are referring to are usage fees which were triggered through the use of the system as mentioned in the subscription's terms.

We completely understand that costs are a big part of every merchant's decision about which apps to use and we've built Loox to provide a great return on investment on all of our plans.

The worst app ever. All texts to import are self-written and are the same, such as All Super, All ok, Polecam, Ok, Super, A+, etc. You pay every month to generate traffic to the loox site because it is not possible in the basic plan to hide the drop down menu with the logo loox branding logo and make the referral to Loox invisible on the product pages. There are plenty of alternatives that do not have this referral to their own website. All in all: worst experience ever and I hope I can remove the program without affecting my theme and speed.

From what you're describing, I understand that you're referring to reviews imported from external sources like AliExpress, which we do not control.

As for removing Loox branding - this option, amongst many other features, is actually offered on the Growth plan and up (also listed on the pricing page).

Overpriced for what it is. There is better alternatives for a cheaper price, although Loox has been going the longest. The import AliExpress reviews feature is weak, only allows for 100 reviews at a time, and you can only import one of the images not multiple per review. The worst part is that you can't edit the text of the reviews, rendering most the aliexpress reviews as useless, because they are written in terrible grammar/translated and hurt your credibility more than they help. The app has a long history and credibility, although there is nothing special about this app that makes it stand out, and the competition is evolving much faster at a much better rate. Disappointed.

Please note that Loox lets merchants choose which country to import reviews from and we use AliExpress's translation to give more translating options for merchants who can't find reviews from their original country.

In addition to AliExpress's translation, we offer integration with the Weglot app, which translates your reviews to your customers' language!

Moreover, Loox offers many other features that will help increase conversion and retention rates, such as referrals, popup widgets, Facebook integration and much more!

I have purchased a plan for 39.99 USD just to check the app, but suddenly they have charged 222 USD on my card, i was totally clueless why they have charges my 222 USD. they have the reason that as the installed limit was 300 orderes you have received 1237 orders this month so they have multiply their amount to 160$ and other 39.99 USd charged for basic app...OMG total shit show....i wish i can send -1 star to them...i will definitely pass this issue in our Shopify community so they will also keep away from loox app.
I want my amount back, i have send them email too as they dont have any live support.

We were charged 39,90€ for an app we're not even using anymore! The app was deleted weeks ago in the shop and the money taken off the account today!!!!

Yishai from the Loox team here - I totally understand how stressful it can be to see an unexpected charge on your invoice.

Shopify should automatically stop all future app charges once the app is removed from your store. With that said, you might see a charge that was created before Loox was removed.

I took a look at your account and I can see that this is indeed the case here, the charge was triggered and already appeared on your pending invoice a few weeks before Loox was removed.
