We have experienced the same horrific issue of repeat customers getting booted from our email list if they do not continually opt in with each transaction, and if we don't continually opt in for them when checking them out via the Shopify POS. This is such a costly "glitch." I see your response and that Shopify is supposedly looking into this. But, this response has been posted for months. Is there really no fix yet from Shopify?

I've been using ShopSync for about a year now and its been incredible. Easy to use, functions exactly as you would expect to MailChimp, great replacement for the now-deprecated Native App. I use it by default on all of my shops now!

Install fails with a 'page not found error'. After confirming install permissions, looks like it wants to redirect to https://storename.myshopify.com/admin/apps/shopsync-2 but fails with a 'page not found' display.
EDIT: It looks like the ShopSync app successfully installed, so you can ignore the 'page not found'. Just navigate to Apps > ShopSync > Connect and proceed with step 5 of the MailChimp instructions.
Hi there, thank you for the feedback. After further investigation into this issue, we've found that the app store had an unusual redirect method to our installation page that needed to be corrected. This problem appeared for a small subset of users, but we understand how frustrating this behavior can be if you were one of them. We've worked with Shopify to resolve this problem and it should be fixed now.

The synchronisation was very good. You can also directly create a pop up. Now it's waiting what I can do in the futur with this app. But a good beginning is a quick win
We use Mailchimp to send an email once a month to existing customers about sales and new products. We also post the same content on social media, but most of our repeat customers come from the monthly email. Returning customers now make up 30% of our orders! We have a small enough audience that we are still on the FREE plan, and the ROI on the time makes it very worthwhile. We have had no problems with the Shopify-Mailchimp integration in two years. Definitely will be worth it to get a paid plan with scheduled emails and customer segmentation once we get big enough.
It just works! Perfect app for my needs. Easy to install and use. There were a few times when I had to refresh manually but all it took was clicking on a button and everything was back to normal. Thanks for the app.

So far so good! The change over took a few hours with our large list but we didn't have any initial problems with automated messages etc after carefully following the instructions.
Pop up used to work when I used only mailchimp, but not anymore. I've tried everything i could to fix it but didn't manage to do anything. I'm thinking of moving to another app
