A great app with absolutely painless installation - quick and easy with no problems. It even found 250 subscribers our previous integration had failed to add to our main list. Thanks ShopSync!
ShopSync made the transition from MailChimp for Shopify to simply continuing using MailChimp for my email marketing needs such a smooth experience. I felt like I didn't skip a beat!
Excellent solution. Was easy to install and it looks like all of our data is syncing perfectly. Huge relief now that Mailchimp is pulling their integration. Thanks!
So far so good.
I just did it to sync to Mailchimp and my store does not have a lot of data to mess up so lets hope it stays that way.
It took less than 10 minutes to get the sync.
Thanks, DSQ
Great little app now that Mailchimp have ended with Shopify, so simple to integrate and use.
We used Shopsync to connect our Shopify site to Mailchimp. A few days later we found out that Welcome emails were sent to over half of our existing subscriber list - prompting some to opt out! This is confusing and embarassing. Not sure what went wrong.
Hi there, sorry for any hassle. We've actually confirmed the welcome email behavior is a bug on the Mailchimp end and they are working on a fix. Depending on when you installed the app, we attempt to make this very clear on the install screen prior to setting up ShopSync.
As a best practice, we recommend archiving any welcome email that is active in Mailchimp. You will be able to reactivate and fuse these back together after the sync is complete. Mailchimp has put an easy to follow migration guide together that you can follow for any other automations that are activated.
The instructions were very clear which made it easy for me to sync Mailchimp and my shopify store Ruatipua Oils.
Very Buggy, Whenever I want to update products onto a email template, it always ask me to reconnect my Shopify store.
Hello there!
Thanks so much for the feedback. We would like to point out that this is not an issue with ShopSync, but it could very well be a Mailchimp interface bug that we should submit to them to resolve.
ShopSync does not have any connection with the Mailchimp app itself, as our primary job is to get e-commerce data from your store into your Mailchimp account for segmenting or reporting etc.
Can you please reach out to your support team at Mailchimp and explain what's happening with your account? They should be able to help you resolve this issue. If you're still running into issues, you may also reach out to our support team as well and we'll be glad to assist further.
Thanks!
Install fails with a 'page not found error'. After confirming install permissions, looks like it wants to redirect to https://storename.myshopify.com/admin/apps/shopsync-2 but fails with a 'page not found' display.
EDIT: It looks like the ShopSync app successfully installed, so you can ignore the 'page not found'. Just navigate to Apps > ShopSync > Connect and proceed with step 5 of the MailChimp instructions.
Hi there, thank you for the feedback. After further investigation into this issue, we've found that the app store had an unusual redirect method to our installation page that needed to be corrected. This problem appeared for a small subset of users, but we understand how frustrating this behavior can be if you were one of them. We've worked with Shopify to resolve this problem and it should be fixed now.
If you have any other questions about ShopSync, please reach out to our support team at support@shopsync.io. We'll be happy to help.
I was pleasantly surprised that the transition went much more smoothly than I would have expected. Thanks.
