Shopify Marketplace Connect

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Sync does not work. Screws up prices and inventory - your two most important data points. Oh, it also chokes trying to upload images. Cost me a lot of money in mistakes. Support tries, but is not helpful. Look elsewhere.

I don't pretend to know anything much about coding, but all I know is we used this app for years, and while clunky, it at least worked. That stopped about a month ago when their integration with Ebay stopped working. Despite assurances SEVERAL times from support that fixes were imminent, or had been implemented and just needed time to re-sync, nothing was actually fixed. We finally had to find another app to use for this (and they're working fine, so it's clearly an issue on this app's part, despite them trying to say it was Ebay's fault)

After more than four years of happily using Marketplace Connect, it's just astounding that after it broke, developers were unable ot fix it in over a month. Long story short, Shopify Marketplace Connect's eBay integration ceased to work last month, and despite week after week of promises from the developer that it would be back, it remains broken with no end in sight, so I have since pulled the plug and moved on.

This app continually loses connection with our store - often within moments of connecting. The help team have escalated the issue to developers/engineers and this has been ongoing for weeks.

We are switching to another provider as we cannot continue with this terrible level of service and support.

The customer service is super inpatient. The inventory sync with eBay is not working for days. I contacted them. The first agent said they have resolved the issue with eBay. But the inventory still not sync... so I reached out again another agent is super inpatient. He basically saying they are still working on it. I asked for a timeline. He said there is no timeline. Well...

I spent days trying to make this app work with ebay, but it's just not possible. I thought it was extremely slow, in most cases it would never load, due to our catalogue size (over 100k SKU's), but looking at the other reviews it seems that the app itself is not working.

I was never able to upload any products to ebay, and moved over to other competitor apps

It used to work just fine, although was always a bit slow.

Now, it simply doesn't work. Inventory takes days to sync, new products take days before they appear on eBay, and as I type this, I can't even load the app.

Terrible for a 1st party Shopify app.

I do not recommend this app. One day, it simply stopped working properly with Walmart. The authorization started disconnecting, linked listings became unlinked, and inventory stopped syncing correctly.

One minute the inventory is available on the marketplace, and the next minute it is gone without any action from my side.

Email support is also very poor. You may wait two or three days for a response, and sometimes they do not reply at all.

Stopped working for eBay, the provider knows about it and has advised they do not have a fix that works, it has been weeks now and thousands of customers have no connection working with eBay to sync quantity anymore. Such a shame, if they do get it working again, I will update the review, but 2 weeks now and no fix at all, eBay is simply not connected to Marketplace connect anymore. Has cost my business thousands of dollars and there is no compensation at all.

The app is completely broken on every single level, and there is zero timeline for it to be fixed. They are not even publicly announcing an outage. I haven’t been able to publish inventory to eBay for weeks. Yet random items are being published to Amazon, a channel I haven’t sold on in YEARS. Inventory that is selling is not linking. Now the last three days nothing being sold on eBay is reflecting on Shopify, so it shows I have $0 in sales in Shopify despite selling hundreds on eBay. It’s affected my seller status on eBay already because I was unaware this was an issue. It will affect my credit limit with Shopify because it’s based on sales. I’m having to manually update my inventory for every single sale I make. I have 400+ listings that are backlogged to list on eBay. I have 300,000 listings (100,000 on eBay) and I have no way to confirm my inventory. This is when I should be able to ramp up for holiday sales. It’s been broken for three weeks already. They are going to destroy my small business, and are offering zero guidance on when (if ever) this will be fixed.
