The first time I used this app it corrupted my 800 eBay listings. I had to delete all of them and relisted them. I decided to try it again for Amazon. It caused every product to over sell. I even got orders for items I have been out of stock on for a while now.

I don't know if it is USER error or not but I can tell you this...
The eBay and Amazon apps from Shopify do a much better job and they are free. BEWARE and know this app is 100% unnecessary.

Codisto LINQ enjoy the $85 you charged me for 3 days of sales. You only created a mess and hurt my customer experience.

Thanks for the review and sorry to hear you had problems. But we are very surprised with the content of your review. "Corruption of listings" and "over selling" are anathemas for software like ours.

We couldn't successful provide thousands of Shopify users with Amazon/eBay integration if the problems you described were inherent in the product. That is further supported by the app reviews.

Our strong suspicion is that it was misunderstanding or user error that caused your problems. We wish that you had waited for our support to respond and help you prior to uninstalling.

The three days of sales were not charged, only the $29 monthly fee.

We respect your opinion but firmly believe Codisto is providing crucial functionality for selling on Amazon/eBay not found elsewhere in other solutions. Please see the 'compare us' section on our website for more details.

The most complicated thing i have ever come across. Also they are not available 24/7 for support, and when they are it has to be done over emails, or you need to install another software for chat (on their working hours) so trying to figure out how to set it up could take a while. So far it is still not working for me....also from what I have figured out, if your products do not have GTIN, or if you did not register them when you were creating the listing in Shopify, this wont work for you

Listing on Amazon/eBay requires a different mindset compared to listing on your own website as they have predefined fields that may not match your existing Shopify data structure. For example, Amazon generally requires GTIN data to create listings (this is not something that is possible to avoid by sellers or 3rd party integrators like us). We have done our best to take something that is very complicated (listing/syncing with Amazon/eBay) and make it very easy. Other reviews left tend to support this. That said, we acknowledge there is always room for improvement and all ideas and feedback is welcome.

We would like to point out that support is provided 24/7 and can be by phone/chat/email. Apologies is phone/chat wasn't available for you at the time - agents would have been busy on other calls/chats hence why email support was offered.

Switched to Codisto when the eBay integration app ceased.

Day 1:
Linked existing listings. This reset all of my eBay prices to my lower website prices - a few eBay customers got a bargain. Not a big deal. Then I tried to update the prices: didn't work. Contact support. Support said 'Oh, there's a problem with linking listings from eBay sometimes, let me unlink them and you can link them again'. I did this. Pricing still didn't work.

Day 2: I noticed that my VAT rate had been set to 0 on all of my listings. By this time, my eBay prices had somehow updated to the correct amount. I then proceeded to change my VAT rate for my eBay listings to 20%. Didn't sync. Contact support, and they tell me to unlink and relink again. This seems to be their answer to everything.

Day 3: Tried to list NEW listings on eBay duplicated from my website. Listing about 8. Only 1 was successful. Didn't contact support, as they are fairly useless. Just uninstalled and went with another app.

Throughout this ordeal, eBay listings had to be temporarily supsended as pricing/vat rate was wrong, resulting in lost sales.

Not recommended.

UPDATE: Codisto reached out to me personally and said: "We also want to let you know that we have a potential solution with regards to the product title you wish to achieve for your listings.... When it comes to your eBay titles, we will be glad to discuss this further with you." A potential solution is what they offered. As I mentioned, their app can create custom titles but with limitations. I did try their settings and honestly, I absolutely loved the way Codisto showed what the title would look like when I selected the specific codes. However, I reached out twice and received the same answer. The titles my site needed would not be available without me adding additional metadata, information that was already in my product feed. Codisto stated that if I had just listed the product, then it would have worked. HA! Why would I list something that I can see is not right? With Koongo, the titles were apparent without having to list them first (though not as easy to access as with Codisto - really did love that their feature of showing what the title would look like as you typed). Sorry Codisto, yes, if your support AGENTS (multiple) had been "sufficiently educated" then perhaps it would not have been an issue. But by your own words, you got back to me and said you only had a potential solution, not a firm one. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Overall, the app was fine and I can see it working for shops other than mine but I ran into an issue that their tech support was not able to fix easily. I needed to create custom titles for different collections of products that I have. Their system is able to do that but with limitations, they have only a set number of fields they can pull information from. As an example, I need a SKU to identify a particular style of watch but I don't need that for a dress. Instead, I need sizes. I contacted customer support and was told that I would need to get a third party app to insert additional metadata into my site. I figured the woman I chatted with was wrong so the next day I contact them again to speak to a different person. I must say that their customer support was very quick. No waiting and they jumped into the problem quickly. Both times though I was told I needed an additional metafield containing the product titles for each different collection I wanted to change. If I added that, they would then be able to pull the information to title my products correctly. The issue I had with that was that 1) it would cost me more money to get another app, and 2) I already had the information in normal fields in my products that was necessary for the descriptions to be titled properly. I tried Koongo and they were able to pull the information from my site and extract just the parts I needed for my product descriptions without the need to install another app. I went with them instead.

Thanks for your review. Our app does support custom titles and works the way you wanted it to by default and if you had tried listing you would have seen it work. However, our failing here was that our support agent wasn't sufficiently educated on this matter and provided the wrong advice - we apologise for that and have provided additional training to our teams.

Briefly looked into Codisto but decided today was the day! Worked with my web developer to connect my Shopify store to Ebay & Amazon, had help via live chat with Mark who was amazingly helpful. He suggested we have a Google meet where we were able to ask anything else we didn't understand. He was very patient, answered and listened to every question we had - and there were certainly lots!
I am so very pleased that we descoverd Codisto and excited to be connected, up & running with them in a matter of hours.
Thank you for explaining & giving so much help Mark, nothing was too much trouble & thank you Codisto I look forward to streamlining my business with you.

Downliaded the app and just starting to use it, but so far its great. Had to contact support once to install and they were magic!

I am leaving one star because the customer service team was attentive and kind, and tried to help. I would really proceed with caution if using Codisto. I installed it as a last resort to manage my Ebay store, once the Ebay app was no longer available in Shopify. At first glance and based on the first few reviews it seemed great, but shame on me for not researching more. It's a great idea, and I suppose it could work in some cases however with a consignement business like mine, with so many different types of inventory, details and information to sync it was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. The video explaining how to link listings is short and sweet, so I watched and did it however it never warned what would happen if you did not make certain selections. Literal YEARS of work was ruined with a click. All of my carefully organized details (categories, styles, condition of items) was taken out. I had to put my store on vacation mode and pause sales in order to at least return the proper items to the proper condition before I was able to sell them ethically, and the best part was I couldn't even work on them until they were unlinked from Codisto which I was told could only be done on their end. Red flag to have that much control over one's listings. I was PROMISED twice by the agent I was chatting with that once unlinked everything would return to how it was before i installed, not to worry nothing was lost. NOT THE CASE. It has been over a week and I am still fixing over 2000 listings one by one, and the kicker is now I have to remove the Codisto logo in each and every one of them because I am sure as anything not advertising for them. IT IS A HOT MESS, and has completely ruined the beginning of my 2023 year of business. PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION AND EXTENSIVE RESEARCH IF IT'S RIGHT FOR YOUR COMPANY.

I tried Codisto, Export Feed then finally Koongo. Koongo was by far the simplest to set up and sync so I went with that. This one does work as does export feed. i would download all 3 and see which one you prefer. I would think Koongo would be best for the vast majority.

We are somewhat confused as to what your complaint is here: Codisto doesn't manage your Amazon Professional account. It is your responsibility to manage that with Amazon. Codisto uses Amazon APIs to communicate with Amazon. Amazon requires a seller to pay for an Amazon Professional account to use their APIs.
