I've been using Materials Inventory for a little while now. We have a business with currently just 1 product that is a mix of raw materials, manufactured pieces from vendors and parts assembled in-house by us. This app has been perfect for our model. The other options I had seen for ERP were either too simplistic or completely over-kill for our scale or budgets.
Materials Inventory comes in and fills that gap beautifully. It can be simple yet granular enough to satisfy our needs. It is useful, well integrated and well explained (there are many little hints throughout the UI to help you navigate the app). The app is easy to setup and, dare I say it, even "fun" for someone who likes properly setting up things.
And to top it off, customer support has been exemplary. Tarek has been helpful, knowledgeable, understanding and responsive.
If the features you need are provided by Materials Inventory, there's likely no need to look further. I expect that it will be a long while before our business outgrows what this app can do for us.
Materials Inventory is the perfect match for our inventory needs for certain product groups.
It allows us to efficiently plan for the future while keeping an eye on the current state of inventory.
I can highly recommend it for any company working with raw materials.

The app worked out just great for us from the moment we started to use it. It seamlessly can handle creating products with BOMs and then creating PO's for those materials to each supplier. The support from the Materials Inventory team though is what keeps us using this app. We ran into an issue where we wanted to be able to attach signed Pack-lists for closing out our PO's and within 5 hours the team at Materials Inventory had the option available for us to use. They do a great job and make it work for our company as best as it can.

Our store offers a variety of products, including those we produce ourselves and items sold by weight. Finding an inventory management software that meets all our needs has been a challenge. Previously, we used two different apps and still had to handle some inventory management manually. However, we have been testing the Materials App for the past nine months, and I have no complaints. I have cancelled my subscriptions to the other two software options, and now all my inventory is managed within the Materials App. Tarek provides excellent customer service. He is always open to suggestions and continually improves the app to be more user-friendly and to include useful report options. I would definitely recommend it.

This is an absolutely crucial app to have if you are a maker or small manufacturer selling on Shopify. If you have many parts/materials you need to track for products you build, and if you sell those parts and materials directly to customers, you need this app in order to keep track of inventory regardless of where those parts get sold in one or more of your products. The features run much deeper than you will even first notice. Very clever reporting and low stock prediction.
Many times I think of a feature I wish it had, only to discover it's already built in. My only complaint is I'd love to have the components feature, but I can't justify the $89/mo price. My store isn't big enough to justify the cost yet. Very solid app.

We implemented this a few weeks ago. So far we're really happy. We have hundreds of products that are made up of parts, often shared, and this has been perfect for managing stock and selling quantities. None of the other systems we looked at did this simple and obvious task! Tarek has been very helpful in making sure everything worked for us and has even added functionality for us where required.
