Metafields Guru

usless nonsense app cannot import metafields only maybe fakly export, but if cannot import then whats the purpose

I chose Metafields Guru after reading its promises of “one-click bulk management,” “Excel-like automation,” and “Shopify Flow integration that speeds up work.” After using the app and exchanging several emails with the team, here is the reality:
1. No real automation – Every metafield/metaobject value still has to be typed or pasted manually. Filters help, but they don’t auto-populate or predict data.
2. Feature overlap with Shopify – Shopify’s free admin already lets me bulk-edit metafields in a grid, copy/paste across products, and automate assignments with Flow. MG adds no time-saving logic beyond what I can do natively.
3. Paid tiers ≠ extra value – The “Excel-like editor,” “advanced editor,” and credit-based bulk actions are just alternative UIs for tasks Shopify covers for free. The advertised productivity gain is missing.

Because the delivered functionality does not match the marketing claims, I’m requesting a full refund of my subscription and any unused app credits.

Auf Empfehlung von Gabe haben wir es mit Metafields Guru versucht. Allerdings hatten wir auch nach mehreren Versuchen Schwierigkeiten, die Metafelder erfolgreich zu importieren – was eindeutig an unserer eigenen Unerfahrenheit lag.

Der entscheidende Unterschied zu anderen Anbietern zeigte sich jedoch im Support. Nachdem wir Sascha von Metafields Guru kontaktiert und unsere Datei zugeschickt hatten, erhielten wir nur wenige Stunden später eine detaillierte Rückmeldung. Sascha hatte nicht nur genau analysiert, wie wir vorgehen müssen, sondern lieferte auch eine Anleitung mit Screenshots, die den Importprozess Schritt für Schritt erklärte. Dank dieser Unterstützung funktionierte der Import auf Anhieb.

Obwohl Metafields Guru eine komplexe und umfangreiche Anwendung ist, haben wir uns aufgrund der herausragenden Unterstützung und Erreichbarkeit des Teams für ein Abonnement entschieden. Sascha und sein Team haben mit ihrem Engagement und exzellentem Support alle anderen Anbieter, die wir ausprobiert haben, bei Weitem übertroffen.

What I know about metafields would fit in a thimble. A very tiny thimble. I'm only just getting started with Metafields Guru to unlock the meta-magic for my Shopify store. It looks very promising. And I can already attest to the friendly and very responsive team behind this app. I'll be back to update this review as I discover more!

I'm just starting to use the Guru app and I love it already!
It greatly facilitates the task of creating my product sheets.
I ran into a problem with the text formatting of my meta fields.
I contacted customer service and Oleksandr got back to me instantly!
He solved my problem with kindness and professionalism.
I am delighted and I recommend ++ the Guru app.

This is a nice extension, it just won't allow you in "More filters" or "Tagged" to actually type out your tags to filter out the data because the space bar will not work and you can only type one word out which means you'll do most of the work manually if you can't filter your products.

I really need help here and if this is not a function, I would like the team to update the app. I have too many products to work with and add metafields.

Firstly i would like to thank Sasha for his help when I hit a bump in the road using Metafields Guru, he responded within 2 hours with a solution that worked! So far Metafields Guru has made using Shopify Metafields 100% easier for me and with the fix Sasha worked out for me I can now use html in my metafields with no issues. Easy to use App with an awesome UX and competent Developer Team. Even in the free version this App helps me a lot in handling my meta fields. If I encounter an Issue with the app, the support is super friendly and helped me out...

Wow! This app is a game-changer! Coming from the HTML5/CSS and WordPress worlds, I have been tearing my hair out trying to do something as simple as creating reusable code blocks in Shopify to reduce the amount of work involved with setting up product listings. Not only does Metafields Guru provide a simple and intuitive GUI to make the heavy-lifting a virtually codeless encounter, their team is utterly committed to their users. I created a support ticket through the app's help function and had a detailed answer with links and examples in under an hour! When I stumbled trying to implement the fix and wrote back again, I had the same kind of response and had it working within minutes. Even more surprising than the lightning fast-responses was the fact that they were both from the Co-founder and CEO during off-hours. Sasha and his team earn every penny you invest (which I absolutely chose to do, even though there is a free version available with tons of helpful support docs and examples.) Ukraine has long been known for its tech prowess, but to receive this kind of support in the midst of what their country is currently enduring is astonishing. If I could give this app more than 5 stars, I would. The 256 Development team absolutely earns it! This app really is a game-changer. -Sue.

I rarely write reviews but I'm genuinely impressed with this app and the brilliant support, so it deserves it. I'm running it on a store with over 4500 products. I had previously tried a couple of other apps for editing/adding metafields, and found them all buggy or just unworkable. Metafields Guru has been excellent and surpassed my expectations. Working with metafields can be a painful process on. site with thousands of products, but Metafields Guru makes it a lot easier.

I've saved myself weeks of work utilizing the export/import feature for ALL of my products and their sometimes 14 metafields! I cannot speak highly enough about their support team too, as they are QUICK, responsive, accurate, clear & concise to every single inquiry I've brought up - and I can be very needed!

One of the most important things to have with an app is excellent customer service. Not being an expert with this app and having a developer install and set it up meant that I didn’t have a lot of background on how to operate this app on my own. When I reached out I received an almost immediate response with a plan of action. They went in and handled the issue for me and showed me step by step how they did it. I was thoroughly impressed with my experience and know that the right app was chosen for my site. Can’t say enough about how positive my experience was.

I used this app to add some extra fields to my products, which are artworks - things like dimensions, the artwork medium and whether it is framed or unframed. I found useful instructions on how to display the metafields on my product pages. I needed extra support to add a field to my collections and the support was really excellent and prompt.

Been using the app for several weeks now, on thousands of products on our marketplace shop. It does an excellent job ! It present multiple solutions to solve each use-case (single edit, bulk, and now Sets). It's well thought, technically robust, and the interface integrates pretty smoothly within native Shopify screens. The team is kind and reactive, which is a pretty good point nowadays. Looking forward to testing the in-product-sheet editor that the team just released this week
