Added this to our store today, and had everything installed within minutes (literally -- very easy!). Had one minor question and reached out to the help team, and had a reply back within about 3 minutes from an extremely knowledgeable and helpful customer service rep (thanks, Rick!). As a servicemember myself with a store catering to the military, I think offering a military discount is important, and having a company that's made that very easy for me to do is awesome. Time will tell how the app does and performs, etc., but for now, I'm a huge fan. Thanks guys.

UPDATE: Wow. This app has really expanded and enhanced its features in the years we have used it. The new(est) name reflects it. Great company, great app, great purpose.

This is a VERY welcomed addition to the Shopify App Store. For a nominal monthly fee, you can say "thank you" to your fellow citizens who have devoted themselves to protecting our country, while at the same time making a sale. Thanks to this app, you can do so without fear of service impostors (sad but true that such people exist). Quick and easy install. It works like any other promo code EXCEPT you use the system's back end to make sure only the right people see the code(s). We're not using the bulk code feature yet but will down the road.

We've wanted something like for some time and are pleased that the developers at Gruntroll have risen to the challenge. We proudly give it five stars and would give a salute too if that were possible. :-)

I had a few questions on the service. The response was really quick (like 10 minutes), and the HTML was very straightforward so I did not need help adding all three discounts to my store, thought they offered in their first reply. I have already seen sales come through using the discount codes.

I just installed Military Discount and it could not have been easier! I did get hung up on the HTML code (don't know anything about HTML coding) and within minutes of sending an email, they were on it! They not only completed the installation of the image and text, but also suggested tweaking the size of the image and also took care of that.

We use all 3 apps and couldn't be happier with them and what it's done for our conversion rates. There's a reason "big" companies do this and it's because it works! Plus, I feel good about giving a discount to people who protect us (military and police/firefighters), as well as students trying to better their lives.

Installation is easy if you know HTML. If you don't know HTML (I'm a beginner) they'll give you a hand getting setup. You can tell these guys know the business inside/out and my experience has been no different. Thanks for the help and the boost in customer loyalty - it's a great marketing tool.

App works as expected: I copied one of the HTML codes into my theme, and used the bulk app to create unique codes which can only be used one time. Then when you click a "Military Discount" picture, there's a nice popup where your customers verify his or her status and receive a discount code. I tested it on my husband who is retired Air Force and it worked perfectly. 5/5

I am not a web designer and asked for a hand getting it added to my store (since it's HTML). They responded in about 10 minutes and gave me the help I needed. Over the next week I saw the discount codes being used! Great app.

Great way to instantly verify military status. We have a large customer base that is active / retired military and offer them exclusive discounts. This app is the perfect solution!

The people at ID Services were very pleasant to work with, and very helpful. They came and installed it for us free of charge when we had questions.

Overall, we're very pleased with the app. It would be nice if there were extra reporting options, but the basic reporting included does work fine.

Our store is centric to Forces in the U.K.. I was unsure whether this app could verify Forces but after contacting support, I received a fast response and assured it could.

After installing the app, I had a few customers verify the app works as intended and it certainly does. It would be nice if there was a banner specific to U.K. Forces, but I understand most of their customers are in the U.S. so we were told we can design our own banner.

I installed both military & student discount because it fits my demographic perfectly, and I can't say enough positive things about the people at ID Services who helped me! I don't know HTML at all and since you have to use some in order to make something show the popup window, I asked if they could help and they just did it for me for free. And the apps work just how they were advertised!

Installed the Military Discount App and it was very simple to set up. We are on a unique set up as we operate our store through our Wordpress website using Shopify's buy/cart embed function. What a great app. We're proud to support the military and this app helps us show our support. You can make a "Military Discount" button right alongside the other buttons in your cart, then it's just a simple popup and verifies status before releasing a discount code.

Many of our customers are current or former members of the military. This app helps us connect with them. Within moments of announcing the discount policy, we began seeing new sales roll in. I highly recommend this app for anyone with a military audience!

In setting up my store, I was excited to learn about an app that could offer military discounts. The instructions are very clear and easy to install and was only a problem due to a javascript issue. Because I know nothing about javascript, I sent an email into support. Within just a few minutes, Rick responded to my request, spotted the problem immediately, and had me up and running within 20 minutes. If the app itself is half as good as the support I received in setting it up, I will have some very happy customers.
