I've been looking for ways to help automate a lot of our admin-heavy processes. Been using Zapier for a few years, but found their access to more granular aspects of the Shopify API missing or extremely difficult to work with.
I tested out Arigato based on the positive reviews and I've achieved so much more than I initially thought was possible.
There is a bit of a steep learning curve and it felt a bit overwhelming when I started out. However, there is a library of some very useful workflows to either use, or check out how they are set-up to better understand the logic.
The tool is excellent. It really is. But what has made it stand out has been the support. I've reached out to Bonify (the app developers) more than once for help and advice and they have been brilliant (special thanks to Patrick!).
Not only have they been able to help me when I've been stuck in some of my Workflow set-ups, they provided example workflows to make it easier to learn how to better execute future ones on my own.
Spending the days upfront to get these workflows in place is going to save my team weeks and months of admin time which is now automated in the background.

I love this app so much! It's insanely useful for automating different parts of your shop in a straightforward manner. There's so many different options of what you can do with this app, you would be looking at multiple different apps to provide exactly what this app provides. I use this to sort customers into their designated delivery runs, to update my product SEO when a product gets created or updated,I did use it to update stock across multiple variants of the same product. The possibilities are endless. The customer service team is super nice and super helpful, especially Patrick and Kenny, I've come to them multiple times not understanding how to do something and they have helped me right away and showed me not only what to do to make it work, but how it works too, so I have been able to learn a bit more on how to work the app on my own. A definite must-have for your website. Very highly recommend it.
There is a degree of clunkiness to the UI, and creating workflows can be a tedious task. Certain actions don't give sufficient debug information when they encounter errors. Could use improve realtime metrics to show what workflows are active.
That aside, this app is hands down the MOST IMPORTANT app that I have installed. It is hugely powerful, and can save an immense amount of time. There are so many different things that you can automate, and it can be dangerously addictive when you discover a new feature and just HAVE to implement it immediately.
Some of the things that I have built that I find incredibly useful:
- Discount scheduling (achieved with metafields)
- Scheduled error checking - warning emails sent to me if something is misconfigured
- Product description generation based on metafields
