Brought to you by New Zealand's favourite courier service*, the NZ Post Address Search enables you to verify addresses instantly in your Shopify store. Customers simply start typing an address and the NZ Post Address Search will suggest results for address completion.

This app supports Online Store 1.0 only. Please check back soon for our Online Store 2.0 update.

The benefits of using NZ Post Address Search include:

  • More accurate addresses on your parcels

  • Improved customer experience at the shopping cart

  • Save time by reducing delivery related enquiries

  • Increased speed of processing in your warehouse

Our database is continuously updated so that you and your customers have access to New Zealand’s most comprehensive list of addresses. International addressing is also included and is powered by Google Places.

How does it work?

The NZ Post Address Search is available free to all NZ Post account holders.

Once downloaded, you can configure the plugin to show addresses from the countries you ship to. The widget displays on your cart page, providing intuitive auto-complete when your customer begins entering their delivery address. The selected address is then pre-populated at the checkout for a faster purchase process.

Will NZ Post Address Search work with my Shopify theme?

Shopify Basic, Shopify & Advanced Plans:

NZ Post Address Search has been designed for Shopify's most popular themes using the standard checkout flow:

  • Brooklyn

  • Debut

  • Focal

  • Minimal

  • Narrative

  • Simple

  • Supply

  • Venture

Shopify Plus Plan:

If you are on the Shopify Plus plan reach out to your developer or us to talk about using our NZ Post Parcel Address API directly in your checkout. This is the only plan that allows our technology to be used at the checkout instead of your cart.

Does it work for all addresses?

NZ Post Address Search uses the NZ Post Parcel Address API to retrieve addresses from New Zealand, Australia & internationally. International addresses are powered by Google Places.

What happens if a customer can’t find their address?

If an address isn’t displaying, customers can select the option to enter their address manually.

How do I create a NZ Post business account to use this tool?

Visit the business section of our website for more information to create an account.

    This app ended up breaking another app, Variant Option Product Options by Best. Stopped it from working correctly which caused serious issues in my store. This NZ post app is cool, allowing customers to put their address in direct to cart - but needs fixing as it caused serious issues.

    NZ Post app caused me to spend over a 100NZD to figure out why my product thumbnail images were disappearing on mobile after a few seconds. I didn't realise this app would cause a problem until I removed all apps from my store and found this app to be root cause.

    Great little app, the team were more than happy to help me out and get it working on my custom theme, still has some work to make it even better but happy with how its working
