It’s possible that the customer might have ordered a wrong product variant or entered the wrong addresses. He/ She might also want to change the product variant or addresses after placing an order. What if customer wants to change shipping type?
Edit order allows you to change variant of the ordered products. One can also change billing/ shipping address or even type of shipping facility. Other order details can also be modified.
Case: Customer ordered a wrong product variant or has entered some wrong order details.
General Procedure: Customer has to cancel order. Store owner has to confirm cancelation of its customers order. Storeowner has to refund the order amount back to the customer. Then the customer has to order its required product variant as a fresh order and go through the long process of order payment.
Using Edit Order App: Customer contacts the store owner with the changes needed in their order. Store owner opens the order in Edit Order App. Updates the changes as per customers need. Saves the change.
Case: If the bill amount of updated order is lower than the placed order.
If the total bill amount of updated order is less than placed order then the difference of both the order will be refunded automatically back to the customer.
Case: If the bill amount of updated order is higher than the placed order.
If the total bill amount of updated order is more than placed order then the storeowner has to collect the difference from the customer via some other mode of payment.
