About Order Tagger
Addressing the impact of COVID‑19
We have been creating new rules to help Merchants adapt their Shopify stores to handle Pick-ups and Deliveries in an attempt to assist with business continuation.
If you would like us to create a rule that will help your business navigate the effects of COVID-19 and help out your local community, then please do just get in touch via our support address and we will do our very best to help.
Why tag orders?
Applying tags can help you filter orders based on a particular set of criteria. For example, you might want to filter orders in your Shopify Admin area that have been placed with a specific delivery method so that you can fulfil them quickly, or, you might like to identify orders placed by first-time customers so that a welcome gift can be placed in their order.
Tagging orders is a vital step in building automation workflows for the processing and fulfilment of orders.
Popular Use Cases Include
- Tagging orders from customers with multiple open orders
- Tagging orders with the selected delivery date, pick-up date from all of the popular Delivery Date Picker apps
- Tagging orders based on the zip code/postcode selected
- Tagging orders which contain out of stock products
- Tagging orders based on which location they will be fulfilled from
- Tagging orders which have been cancelled to ensure they're not fulfilled.
Using Order Taggers Multi-Condition rule builder to apply Shopify Order Tags
Order Tagger can automatically tag orders based on a wide variety of conditions.
A rule can be triggered on a defined order status:
- When orders are created
- When orders are fulfilled
- When orders are partially fulfilled
- When orders are cancelled
These triggers provide you with the flexibility to create different rules at different stages of the fulfilment process.
Once you have defined the trigger for your rule, you can use any criteria about an order to filter and group your orders using tags. Order criteria are grouped into the following categories:
Between these categories, all aspects and criteria about an order, inventory, locations and much more can be used as the conditions for your rule. The rule builder allows you to use multiple conditions to create highly segmented rules and pick out specific orders using order tags.
Dynamic and Fixed Tags
Order Tagger provides you with the ability to apply fixed tags when the order matches your rule. There's also the option to apply dynamic tags based on different values within an order, such as tag the order with the SKU codes within the order, payment method used, UTM tags and much more!
