Panda PreOrder‑Split Payments

No accountability or ownership - DO NOT TRUST
I use their deposit/preorder app on Shopify and when I had an issue with orders they ended up charging my customers a whopping $38,000 USD Months in advance !! I had to refund every cent to my customers but I was left with $965.50 in Shopify credit card fees and the app refuses to reimburse me anything even though it was clearly their fault.

The worst app ever. Never works - making the website load slowly.

But support is fast

Nice app, very useful since we do a lot of pre-orders for our launches.

Amazing app - shiv give great support and help too

This is a fantastic free app that does exactly what I need it to do. Shiv was able to provide super fast support almost instantly when I needed it. Highly recommend!

Great service by Shiv, understood perfectly my needs, and was able to answer it shortly with efficacy.

This app was really helpful to implement our website and the costumer care is super fast and available!
We had some problems at first with the coming soon mode but it was resolved immidiatly.
Really recomment.

Update: after more than a week of trying to make this app work for me the way I wanted it to, it wasn't to be. The support team was very responsive and willing, but after a couple of successes and a few more failures I had to draw the line as it was taking too much time to sort out issues with the app, and causing frustration for me and my customers. Has potential, but didn't work for my site I'm afraid.

A couple of hiccups just after set up, but the Panda PreOrders team was straight onto it and sorted things out for me very quickly.
I've tried a couple of other backorder apps with not much success. I did find one that I used for a while that was awesome but it became unavailable. Panda Preorders is almost as good and has a couple of additional features that I appreciate, so I am happy so far. And the price once you go past the free threshold seems very reasonable indeed, even for my very small business.
I plan to update this review once a few backorders have come in.

This app is wonderful, it makes it really easy to set up pre-order items and also coming soon items, the interface is quite easy to deal with and has a modern look. The development team and the support are there to help you right away along the way if you have any obstacles or challenges. I highly recommend pre-order Panda app for your store!

I'm grateful that panda-preorder exists because it allows me to announce products. We have written a children's book, but we can't produce it yet because we can't afford the costs yet. This way you can present and publish the book. In addition, by ordering in advance you can see how much interest there is and therefore be more confident in taking on the risk of pre-financing. The app is easy to understand and use.

Ich bin dankbar, dass es panda-preorder gibt, weil ich damit Produkte ankündigen kann. Wir haben ein Kinderbuch geschrieben, aber können es noch nicht produzieren, weil wir die Kosten dafür noch nicht stemmen können. So kann man das Buch aber schon präsentieren und veröffentlichen. Außerdem kann man durch das Vorabbestellen sehen, wieviel Interesse besteht und sich somit eher trauen das Risiko der Vorfinanzierung zu tragen. Die App ist einfach zu verstehen und anzuwenden.
