Incredibly easy to get setup and running. Have had a lot of compliments on how cool it is for people to see our apparel live like they're trying it on in store. This is the future now!
I was very impressed with the youtube video, which inspired me to install this app even before the video was complete. I had no idea I needed this until I watched. I really do love the concept, it's a great idea, but I am having a few issues. The biggest one is zero customer service.
Also, I followed the image guidelines, which are understandable, and when the items fit the avatar, they looked great, but I've only been able to add only about 30% of the items due to some of the reasons below:
- processing for much of the items takes hours and hours.
- the folds in the pants are not smoothed out on the model, so the fit looks funny on the avatar. We are mainly a denim jeans store so that's a large part of our products (would be perfect if they were smoothed out by the AI).
- some other items didn't come out right on the avatar (e.g., fur hood on a jacket that comes down covering part of the face).
- I have pages and pages of products to add there are no page numbers that I can jump forward or backwards without starting from the beginning each time to find something, or to get back to where I left off. I always have to go to the very beginning and start over. This costs me time!
- sometimes I get a 'No garment available yet', when there is clearly a garment there (and on white background).
- after uploading the pictures that I could, there is just one step left. It has something to do with the 'UI', and I'm not sure what that is or how to complete that step, even looking through the help section.
I received an email requesting a call for that day or the next, but I wasn't ready as I have to schedule my time. I think a calendar with options would be nice. I replied in the email that if I can get this setup and working in the store, then I would like the call, but first I need help to complete the setup, particularly the 'UI', which is the last step. That was 2 days ago, and I've had no reply. I sent another email hours ago today requesting help, and am still waiting. This is also running down my free trial period.
I also felt that the cost of $35 is quite high given these issues, but I decided that once what could be fixed got sorted, I would try it for one month past the free trial to see if it would be well received by customers.
I would have loved to see this work in the store, as the idea is unique and really cool, but I will wait just a little while more to see what happens. I am super disappointed.
First of all, hats off to these guys for the successful development of this still very new technology, which is going to be the necessity of the future. I am very satisfied working with Pictofit. I found these guys never stop bringing improvements to their virtual try room. I would say to them, "Please never stop innovating and support your customers as much as you can!" Well done and all the best!
