The app pulls in products with zero inventory, leading to people on the Pinterest feed going to a set of products we’re not currently promoting. Unlike Facebook’s integration with Shopify, this app is super-limited in functionality, and may force us to build something from scratch :(

Thought as I downloaded the app I would learn more about how this works. Didn't like how I load the app and a button to accept billing appears. Billing for what specifically, how much, cost per click or sale, etc. So I clicked "Disconnect All".
the app shows products which are not meant to be shown on pinterest (they are unticked for pinterest) additionally they are hidden behind a password protected page on the shopify site. Why is pinterest accessing data it is not supposed to have access to and posting it on a different platform?
I up loaded my online store, without any issues, surprisingly, It was fast and efficient, I can't wait to where this journey goes, So I thought, apparently Pinterest is under the impression that my store is not registered and dose not meet the requirements when it dose! But I don't have the time to be sending them page by page of all my policy's, they made it difficult by sending me a promotion of $100.00 for free ads on them, So it's whatever they can keep it haha! NEXT
This app is a waste of time if your store is not 9 months old. You can apply to join their merchant account, but deny you and then send you a message that the website must be 9 month old. I think they just want you to create an account with them so they can hound you into paid ads with them.
Don't waste your time. I tried this for a month and had nothing but issues with it. Setup was easy, BUT It generated pins for every product image (not just the main one), I was told I can't have any duplicate images in products, it doesn't recognize when I remove a product from the channel, and I can't tag my own products when creating a pin (although they did give me a work around of sorts). I've spent a month with pinterest support trying to resolve the issues - they take days to respond and then ask for information I already sent. They also closed my help ticket for not responding over a holiday weekend. Good luck if you have technical issues.
I began to use this app and was even at the point of advertising when it stopped working. When I inquired why, I was told my account was suspended due to "spam signals." When I asked what spam signals were on my account, I was told to look at Pinterest's policies. After I did. None of their prohibited activities corresponded with anything I was doing. When I appealed, they gave me no more information. Extremely frustrating. The poorest service I have ever seen from a company.

will not finish set up. i've tried it for weeks. support has not been of any support. i have sent screenshots with erros and still nada.
Doesn't work. I'm three weeks in to a drawn out back and forth with client-facing "shopify-help@pinterest.com". I'm now being told my problem is "rare" and it will take the internal tech team up to 8 weeks to investigate.
